When prospective clients ask what they'll get out of career coaching with me, it can be hard to summarize all the unique takeaways they may get. Good thing I've been keeping track of actual clients' responses for 6 years!
I put all the data from hundreds of client sessions into ChatGPT and asked it to summarize the main topics. I was amazed by the concisely organized list it came up with and just made a few tweaks before publishing it in my blog. What would've taken me many hours to do manually took only a few seconds!
Curious about working with me? Here's what you'll get :)

So your boss caught you looking for another job. Awkward...
This is a great article compiling practical advice about how to handle this kind of potentially nerve-wracking scenario. Happy I got to contribute!
First, sincerely apologize for being off-task and looking for another job on company time because they are paying you to work for them, not against them. But then square your shoulders back and ask if you could take this opportunity to discuss improving your job satisfaction and productivity.
Suppose your employer values your work and wants to keep you. In that case, they will be curious enough to give you the time and attention to explore ways to extend your tenure by, for example, re-delegating tasks, increasing schedule or location flexibility, or negotiating a pay or title change (aka a raise or promotion).
If your employer does not value you or your work, they may let you go on the spot, and that may be a blessing in disguise, giving you the freedom and motivation to find a more fulfilling job!

Your personal brand is like your hair or nails.
Everyone has them. You can't decide to not have them. If you ignore or neglect them, they will quickly become unruly and unsightly, distracting and detrimental to your reputation and all your interactions.
If you regularly groom them and keep them updated to align with your desired image, they will create positive impressions and help you be more memorable with your target audiences.
Some people do very well maintaining them on their own with their natural instincts. But sometimes you need help knowing HOW to groom them to best suit your needs and purposes.
You go to a hairdresser or manicurist for professional help with hair and nails, respectively.
You go to a career coach for help with your personal brand. Hi, that's me!
I also have a bunch of free articles, webinars, and podcast episodes on personal branding on my website if you want to DIY it first...

"It feels good to do what you're good at!"
We all have natural talents, and when we invest time and effort in developing them, they become dependable STRENGTHS to help us be more successful.
I know someone who has a J.D. and is a licensed lawyer but he doesn't work in the legal field. He recently got a freelance gig to do some legal work and it gave him a pep in his step!
Does your daily work allow you to do what you're good at?
Do you regularly get to do work that energizes you?
Do you have opportunities to be appreciated and acknowledged for your work?
If not, this is the year to remedy it. There are tweaks you can make to improve work satisfaction:
- Take on projects (at home or work) that energize you.
- Adjust your current projects to better utilize your strengths.
- Partner with others with complimentary strengths (your weaknesses) so you each get to use more of your own strengths.
If these aren't enough, a career change may be worthwhile. And if you need a coach to guide you in that process, I'd love to help :)
