It’s funny how our perspectives change as we age. What was once so important now seems inconsequential. Things we felt we couldn’t live without rarely even cross our minds.
In many ways life gets more complicated as we age but in other ways it gets much more simple.
Happiness, love, security and health… these are the things that truly matter. Once you realize that just make the decisions in your life to accomplish as many of these objectives as possible!
Once you get them you must fight with everything you have to keep them!
Put in the work for the things that truly matter!

First really good leg day I’ve had in months. Only training 3 days per week. Sticking to my modified carnivore/keto diet and my body is responding well. Energy and strength have been stable. Focus and anxiety under control. Most importantly I feel good about my life.
Not bad for 50…

Week 3 of easing my body back into training is going better than expected. It seems my body needed the month long break.
Being in my 50’s now I’m trying to listen to my body even more than I have in the past and is serving me well. So and steady wins the race. Not that I’m racing any body these days LOL
Just keeping this old body from getting older before it’s time!

Afghanistan Veteran Jose Navarro suffered catastrophic injuries in battle losing multiple muscles in his leg that had to be replaced by muscles from his back as well as multiple other injuries that nearly took his life. It took him 7 years to relearn to walk.
When he came to me he had very limited range of motion in his right leg and unable to handle much weight on that leg at all. He suffered from depression because of his physical limitations and poor nutrition.
After a few months of hard work he now has almost full range of motion in his leg and is able to weekly train his legs. Handling weights that he never thought possible after all he’s been through.
He has retaken control of his life and has new goals that we are working hard towards.

I’ve been working with Danny for about a year and a half now. He started off with major atrophy in his legs. Multiple aches and pains including regular back pain that interfered with his daily life and work.
His aches and pains are all but gone. His body composition has completely changed and most importantly his confidence and self perception have him seeing himself and life in a whole new way. All at the age of 61!
I’m so incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish and looking forward to see how much more we can achieve. Great work Danny!!!

I generally prefer use my own words in my posts to get my point across but this is a point that deserves it’s original thinkers words.
It’s never too late to see what you are capable of. No matter what your age you should always strive to know what you are capable of at all points of your life.

I’ve spent nearly 40 years living a body building lifestyle and it has taught me more about the body and mind than I could have imagined.
As much pride as I’ve felt from my own accomplishments helping others to improve their lives and gain self confidence is more gratifying than any award.
Changing a person’s life (be it wearing a bathing suit on the beach to being able to pick up their grandchild) there is no greater feeling.
