Over the years I acquired more and more certifications including Certified Personal Trainer; POSE® Method trained running coach; STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels, and Injuries and Special Populations; Certified Yoga Instructor; Certified TRX® Tactical Force Instructor; Certified GYROTONIC(r) Exercise Instructor on Pulley Tower with Bench and Handle Unit and on the Jumping-Stretching Board; Certified Life Guard and Certified Swim Instructor. Originally from Colorado, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from Colorado State University. As a former military wife of 21 years, I have had unique opportunities to teach physical fitness to active duty soldiers and their families, Special Ops members and Wounded Warriors in locations all across the U.S. I founded 5th Line Movement and Fitness so that I could take all the expertise I have acquired during the past 35+ years and use it synergistically to help people of all ages and abilities move -- in whatever way is possible for them; to learn to enjoy exercise and look forward to it; to understand what types of exercise works best for them; learn and try various modalities and techniques they have never had the opportunity to try before; learn how to cross-train; learn how to prevent injury and recover more quickly from an injury; and develop exercise habits that will benefit them both in the short term as well as for the rest of their lives. I also wanted it to be a place where already fit individuals and athletes of all levels could be challenged in new and exciting ways to create symmetry, lengthen and strengthen their bodies from the inside out, and reach peak performance -- whether that be in another sport / activity or just performing their best in everyday life. My top priority is always the needs of my clients. I am able to meet you at YOUR level each and every time we meet because I work from a wholistic point of view where there is no separation between mind and body. Your body affects your mind and your mind affects your body; and they both change on a daily basis. Your mind and body today are different today than they were yesterday, and they and will be different tomorrow too. Some days you may have more energy or focus and be able to really push and challenge yourself, yet other days you may need a more subdued approach. Understanding this concept allows me to help you make much greater overall gains in your health and fitness over a shorter period of time than you would otherwise. And I truly care about you -- not just as a client, but as a person.
