Announcement!
Aikido of San Antonio is shutting its doors until further notice. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are in a state of suspended animation. The silver lining is that our lease expired May/2020 which means we're not having to declare bankruptcy or deal with a hostile landlord. Unfortunately though, it does mean we have to close and look for new space with the time is right. That timing is critical and we must re-open in a responsible way that not only protects our board and officers legally and financially, but also the health and safety of our members and instructors and chief instructor.
Unfortunately we cannot predict this timing.
We will keep everyone posted on the page and send out emails to those interested.
Please reach out to us on messenger if you'd like to be added to a e-mail list.
In the meantime, it is our sincere hope that all members and page-likers attend to their family's health and safety by practicing social distancing and limiting group exposures.
It was an amazing journey to have the dojo open for 29 years in San Antonio. As the chief instructor it has been my honor to have trained with so many of you and taught some of you. I look forward to one day seeing you all again on the mat.
Gassho,
Kevin Templer
Chief Instructor of Aikido of San Antonio, 6th Dan

Dear Aikido of San Antonio Membership,
Due to the escalating situation regarding COVID19 spreading throughout the community and in solidarity with the city of San Antonio to help prevent its spread, we would like to inform you that the dojo will be closed for at least the next 2 weeks, effective immediately. We apologise for the short notice as the situation is extremely organic in nature.
Protecting the health of not only our members but their families is paramount in our decision.
We would like to reassure members that no students have been confirmed to have contracted the virus. However, in the unlikely event any member contracts the virus in the future, please notify our staff at [email protected] or [email protected], so we can take measures to protect our community.
We will continue to monitor the situation and inform the membership of when we may resume training.
We ask for your understanding during this difficult time and wish for everyone and their families to stay safe.
