Sophie Stowers closed out an incredible high school career in style at the UIL 4A State Swimming and Diving Championships in San Antonio!

She earned 🥈 in the 100 Butterfly and 4th place in the 100 Backstroke in the state finals all while competing among the very best in Texas.

This was Sophie’s fourth consecutive year qualifying for the state meet, a true testament to her consistency, dedication, and competitive drive throughout her time with Brazosport Swimming.

Over the course of her career, she has also broken 6 Brazosport High School records, leaving a lasting mark on the program.

We are so proud of the career she’s built and the way she has represented her team, school, and community. What an amazing legacy!!

This weekend, we had 4 girls, Sophie Stowers, Averie Boswell, Anna Broom, and Addison Ward qualify to represent Brazosport High School at the Coastal Bend TISCA Meet in Corpus Christi.

Friday night after swimming prelims the team enjoyed a good meal and some fun team bonding at Dave & Buster’s, because chemistry matters just as much as hard work.

On Saturday in the meet finals, Sophie broke a 28-year-old school record, the meet record, and placed first in the 200 Individual Medley, swimming an outstanding 2:17.27! She also placed 2nd in the 100 breaststroke.

Way to represent, Brazosport Lady Swimmers! Best of luck next week at the District Meet with the rest of the team! Keep building, keep believing, and keep swimming fast!

Huge congratulations to Claudio Maggiolini on officially signing to continue his swimming career at Iowa Western Community College!

Claudio came to us last year from Italy as a foreign exchange student—brave enough to embrace a new country, language, school, and swim culture. From day one, he impressed us with his work ethic, humility, and leadership by example.

Though he couldn’t compete at the varsity level this year, he never missed a practice and never lost sight of his goal to swim in college. Today, that dream becomes a reality.

Your journey has inspired us all, Claudio. Go chase your dreams—and go Reivers!

You’re invited to join us on Monday, May 19th as we celebrate Claudio’s signing to continue his swimming career at Iowa Western!
