HERE ARE 7 THING TO KNOW:
1. We are opening up early so we can all watch the running of the Kentucky Derby. Gates will be open at 5:00. Derby running is at 5:57. Get food and beverage early and hang out.

2. We have over 27 bull riders loaded up… that is A LOT. This is going to be epic.

3. Southern Hospitality BBQ is set up! And smokin’ ... stop by and tell Quincy hello!

4. Ride something! We’ll have a mechanical bull and Mutton Bustin (ONLY 8 spots left) we recommend you register early for that.

5. Family fun - Petting Zoo and Bounce Houses.

6. And it’s a covered event … if it rains … all good here.

7. There will be a great AFTER PARTY atmosphere, bring your GOOD COMPANY!

Juan Carlos Sandoval is no stranger to success at the Rose Palace. 🇲🇽🇺🇸 Originally from Acuña, Mexico and now based in Del Rio, Texas, Juan Carlos started riding bulls at just 11 years old — and he’s been racking up wins ever since.

A state champion in Mexico and a top-ranked rider across multiple rodeo companies, Juan Carlos came out swinging in the Rose Palace Reckoning series, placing 2nd at two separate events earlier this year. 🏆💥

Now 29, he’s focused on staying active and making a name for himself in the top rodeo companies across the U.S. — and he’s not slowing down anytime soon.

Equine love comes in a diverse set of appreciations. We see working horses, graceful horses, fast and technical, edgy and chill - but that variety is what we love about them, right? … and that is why the hoofbeat is always our heartbeat at The Rose Palace.

Congratulations to all the competitors from this weekend’s Lone Star-Triple B Fiesta Hunter Jumper event. New and experienced riders made their way around the jumps for two days-with ribbons of plenty being distributed. Well done! We will see you back at the end of May.

() Winston is riding high in The Rose Palace Reckoning series. He’s won two of the three, and tied for the third. Hailing from the cowboy capital of the world, Bandera, TX, riding bulls has been his passion for as long as he remembers; steers at 3? The man has IT in his blood! So much so that even his boys (7 & 5) tied to win the last Mutton Bustin’ event. 🤘🏼

Winston, now 30, has quite the resume and is on his PRCA path to NFR with 4 wins already. One thing is for sure with the Lopez boys, age doesn’t matter—These cowboys will respect their lineage and show up ready to ride.
