The Tennis Club of San Antonio (TCSA) is a non-profit organization devoted to promoting diversity in tennis and related social activities in and around the San Antonio area for adults only (18+). TCSA's tennis social program is competitive tennis in a friendly and diversity-inclusive environment. TCSA members (usually 30-60 players) gather 3 times a week to play doubles (singles upon request). TCS

A will pair you with other players within your skill level (from 3.0-5.0). You must already have basic tennis skills to play in our program. (know how to serve, keep score, and be able to hit the ball with some consistency). You only need to come with your tennis racquet. TCSA will pay the court fees, provide balls, snacks and water for you to refill your water bottle. We play 4 rounds - you can arrive at any time and play the next round and leave at any time. We play:

Mondays & Wednesdays from 5pm-8pm at McFarlin Tennis Center
Sundays from 9am-12pm (10am-1pm in winter) at Annemarie Tennis Center

Your first visit is free. After that, you need a membership to play. Our membership is $100 per year. We also have a temporary membership for $40 for 3 months (non-renewable). In order to maintain our membership fees low, we rely on donations and sponsorships. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so using our payment page http://tennisclubsa.square.site We appreciate any amount, Every little bit helps! Other than our tennis social program, we also form teams to compete in USTA leagues. Play is usually on Saturdays. The cost is $45 per season plus you need to have a current USTA membership. The $45 fee includes the registration fee to the league, court fees and balls. In addition to our tennis social program and leagues, we also host several non-tennis events throughout the year for our members to socialize outside of the tennis courts. We host at least 6 events per year, which in the past have included - floating down the river, movie night, bowling night, our year-end banquet, and more. We also have 3 one-day tournaments exclusive for our members - singles, doubles and team that are a lot of fun. Winners take home prizes and we provide soft drinks and food. Last but certainly not least, TCSA hosts a major GLTA tennis tournament - the Alamo City Tennis Classic - our biggest fundraising event. Approximately 200 players from all over the country (and a few international) come to San Antonio to participate in our tournament. For more information, visit our website http://tennisclubsa.com

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS SINGLES TOURNAMENT
Wednesday, October 23, 2024
5:00-8:00 pm
McFarlin Tennis Center
Free – Just show up with your active membership card. If you are not there by 5pm, no problem, we will get you in as you arrive. Latest arrival time is 5:45. There will be no social doubles that day.
4 players of the same zone will be grouped together. They will be assigned a specific court where they will rotate and play all of their singles matches. One player (the scorekeeper) of the group will be responsible to report the scores at the end of the evening. Each player will play a round robin singles match against the other 3 players. The match will be the first player to win 4 games. At 3-3, you play a regular game to decide the winner. Once everyone has played their 3 rounds, the scorekeeper will report the final score of the winner of the group to David Santos (match wins as well as games won/lost)
The top winner of each zone will win a $50 cash prize, plus an upgrade to the next zone up.
Food and drinks will be provided.
