A new pier for Padre Island!
Packery Channel Park Project
Work is now underway on $8 million of improvements to Packery Channel Park on The Island.
The work will consist of six breakwater structures parallel to the Packery Channel shoreline. A fishing pier is also being built that will extend into Packery Channel. The project is being funded through federal grants obtained by the Nueces County Coastal Parks Board. The park will be closed for eight months while the work is underway.
