What a remarkable season, and what an unforgettable finish for our Blue Jays!
The day began with a first-round matchup against the Little Spurs, where our Blue Jays played with confidence and determination, earning a straight-set victory to advance to the next round.
Next came a match that was much bigger than volleyball. Our Blue Jays faced their sister team, Blue Jays Elite.
Instead of the traditional pregame handshake, both teams met together at center court along the net. The coaches shared words of encouragement with every player, reminding them that while they were about to compete against one another, they were still one family. Together, both teams finished with a combined team break, proudly shouting, "Blue Jays on 3!" in unison.
Then it was time to compete.
Both teams played with tremendous heart, effort, and sportsmanship in a match that showcased the growth of every athlete on the court. After an exciting three-set battle, our Blue Jays earned the victory and advanced to the semifinals.
What made the moment even more special was what happened after the final point. The two teams once again met at center court, not as opponents, but as sisters. They gathered together one final time for another combined team break, reminding everyone that while one team moved on, they would always stand together as one Blue Jay family.
In the semifinals, our Blue Jays faced the Royal Gators. The Gators claimed the opening set, and in the second set our Blue Jays found themselves trailing 21-10. Many teams would have accepted defeat at that point—but not these girls. They refused to quit.
With incredible heart, determination, and teamwork, the Blue Jays mounted a breathtaking comeback, fighting for every point and making the Royal Gators earn every last one. Although the comeback ultimately fell just short, falling 25-21 in the second set, their resilience and never-give-up attitude made every member of our organization proud.
Our Blue Jays finish the season in 3rd place out of 18 teams—an incredible accomplishment that reflects the hard work, growth, and dedication these young athletes have shown throughout the season.
To our players: thank you for your commitment, your passion, and for representing our organization with class, sportsmanship, and heart. You have given us memories that will last a lifetime.
To our families: thank you for trusting our coaching staff and allowing us the privilege of being part of your daughters' journey. Your support has helped create something truly special. This has never been just a team—it has been a family.
As we prepare for the fall season, most of these amazing young ladies will be moving up to the next age division. While it's bittersweet to see this chapter come to an end, we are incredibly proud of how far they've come and excited to watch them continue to grow, both as athletes and as young women.
To our Blue Jays Elite, thank you for being more than opponents. Thank you for representing what it means to compete with respect, support one another, and prove that family always comes before the scoreboard.
Congratulations, Blue Jays, on an outstanding season. You will always have a place in the Guardian family, and we can't wait to see what your future holds.
Blue Jay's win first game 2-0 and move onto the next round at 2:30pm
First set 25 - 8
