Team Heretic stepped into the cage again this weeked and words cannot express how truly proud I am of everyone.
We had one grappler Kody Brown step up to the purple belt division as a blue belt, our first female striker Kendra Maggiore taking the cage (a big moment for us) and Coach Justin El Bambino Flores leading from the front by making his sparring debut as well.
Huge shout out to Coach Amador Alvarez for stopping in to help make sure everyone was ready, warming people up and wrapping hands. All around just keeping our guys safe. We all appreciate your help and support always 🙏
In the short time that Heretic has been open we have been making waves. My goal was never a striking gym, so the growth and level of competitiveness has already exceeded my expectations for our small garage gym.

Team Heretic went 2 for 2 in the cage last night under the catch ruleset. 🩸💪
Jackson Jones stepped into the cage for the second time and, after only 2 months of training with Heretic, secured the win with 2 out of 3 pins.
Kody Brown made his second appearance under the Heretic banner and sealed the deal with a clean takedown in sudden-death overtime.
The coaches couldn’t be more proud of the work these guys are putting in. Starting the year off strong with two Ws in the catch wrestling / cage grappling scene. 🔥🤼‍♂️
