Our client Ash doing some squats with our Makeshift Belt Squat (idk if you’ve ever seen those belt squat machines but they way to expensive and this is the same s**t for almost Zero Dollers LOL)
One of the benefits of the having the load under the pelvis, like with the belt squat, is that it allows you to squat without putting load or a lot of pressure on the the spine. I also like to squeeze the hands tight, and have them high, to increase that nice upright, high bar type of squat. (I Also just feel that the weight being directly under you, as opposed to on the upper back or front squat position, typically feels more natural for lots of individuals & almost drags them down into a nice, deep squat without havjng to think about it to much).

Plans, Periodizing, Blah Blah Blah.
Shut the F**k Up.
The greatest to ever do it, the Legends that came before us, didn’t even know half as much “science” about lifting, training, nutrition, anabolic as we do…
And yet their physiques were amazing. Their strength was insane. They would lift for hours. Run miles. Eat Steak.
No fancy, overly complicated plans with words like Metcon in it. No reliance on weak ass “heart rate monitor watches.” No complex undulating daily periodization scheme with a 2-1-0-2 tempo or whatever BS you wanna add in there.
They got great physiques and endurance and power because they busted their asses…because they had a love for the game. They loved lifting weights. They loved the culture. They loved testing their will and body. they didn’t give a f**k about “overtraining.”
They showed up everyday, sore, ticed, drained…because they LOVED IT!
Love & Passion & Hard Effort is always gonna best some silly rep scheme or fancy watch or overly scientific plan.
Some things you just can’t teach!
