The land of freedom. Happy Independence Day to this great country, my country. 🇺🇸
I am incredibly grateful to celebrate my birthday on the same day as America’s Independence Day. Through a lot of hard work, I achieved things in America that I never would have been able to achieve where I was born.
This country gave me the opportunity to build a family, live in freedom, and pursue prosperity. Everything so many people around the world dream of having, we have here. Yet so many people still complain every day.
I will always be grateful for the opportunities this country has given me.
Happy Independence Day to the greatest country in the world. God Bless America! 🇺🇸

Yesterday I coached my first American National Champion. 🥇🇺🇸
Even though we represent a powerhouse team like Carlson Gracie, about 90% of my students started their journey with me as white belts. That makes this achievement even more special, and I couldn’t be prouder.
At our academy, we welcome everyone from complete beginners to high level competitors, and Isa is proof of what consistency, discipline, and hard work can accomplish.
Isa had an incredible day. She fought some of the toughest athletes in her division, including the reigning European Champion, and every match was a battle. She narrowly lost the Gi semifinal 2 to 0 after a small mistake, but she finished the match with a very tight triangle that almost earned her the win before time expired.
In No Gi, she came back stronger than ever and became the American National Champion. Earlier in the Gi tournament she had already submitted that same athlete. There is no question about the level of performance she showed yesterday.
The other 3rd place finisher in No Gi wasn’t present for the podium picture, but that doesn’t take away from the incredible effort and heart Isa showed throughout the day.
A huge shout out to the VAR referees for correcting a crucial scoring mistake. Two points were incorrectly awarded to her opponent due to poor officiating by the center referee, and VAR made the right call. That is exactly why the system exists, to ensure the athletes receive fair results.
One final message to the parents in attendance. This is a professional Jiu Jitsu tournament. Disrespecting referees, yelling profanity, or directing abusive language toward children is unacceptable, especially if you do not understand the rules or the sport itself. That behavior is embarrassing and disrespectful, and it can result in you and your child being permanently banned from future tournaments.
Respect is something you cannot buy.
Congratulations, Isa. I am incredibly proud of you. This is just the beginning. ❤️🥋🏆

Doesn’t matter how hard your training partner is, how tough the roll was, or how many times you got submitted, whether by heel hook or wrist lock. What matters is respect. At the end of training, you should still be able to look your partner in the eyes, thank them for the roll, smile, and get ready for the next one.
No stress. No drama. No personal problems.
The gym won’t fit you. You will fit the gym.
Respect and a family environment always come first. Ask yourself this: could you let your wife, girlfriend, or kids come watch you train where you train? If the answer is no, then it’s probably not a good place.
Respect, loyalty, and camaraderie must always come first.

Analy and Fernando started their journey with us as a family. Fernando began training first, then Analy joined even though she had never trained before and now she trains even more than him lol. Today, their two kids are also part of the team.
Bring your family to train with us in a positive, family environment where everyone can grow together on and off the mats.
