In Loving Memory of Arturo “Artshow” Garcia
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Arturo “Artshow” Garcia.
Arturo began his journey with us in 2019 as a student, and over the years, we witnessed him grow into an extraordinary dancer, leader, and human being. Through dedication, discipline, and love for dance and music, he rose to become one of the strongest members of our dance community.
In January 2022, Arturo was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. Even in the face of this challenge, he continued to move forward with strength and purpose. He completed our instructor training program and became an instructor, sharing his knowledge and passion with others.
Arturo also became the first director of the Fuego y Agua Dancers, working alongside Dario and Yuki to help shape and inspire the next generation of dancers. Beyond his talent, he was known for his warm heart, his encouragement, and the genuine support he gave to so many in our community.
He lived and danced with principle, showing all of us what it truly means to grow, not just as dancers, but as people.
Arturo was also a partner of Mambo Kurabu Social, helping create spaces where music and dance brought people together through connection, joy, and shared experience.
His presence, his energy, and his spirit will always remain a part of our community.
His family is currently planning a gathering at the studio to celebrate Arturo’s life and share memories together. More details will be shared soon.
During this time, we ask that we continue to support one another.
We are deeply grateful to our community members for the love, support, and care you showed Arturo throughout his fight with cancer. It meant more than words can express.
With love and remembrance,
Dario & Yuki
