Pacific Shore league has canceled the 2022 season. We have made this decision based on the lingering situation with COVID19 and all the issues that are associated with it. Primarily, fields are difficult to secure and the amount of financial compensation the parties are requiring to play a full season schedule. The San Diego City and County fields and School District fields have become difficult to use and costly to work with.
The other primary reason is that teams have had a difficult with maintaining a full roster of players and being able to maintain the quality of players required to play at this level. We had a successful 2021 season, but it was a very difficult task for the front office staff to constantly be working to secure fields, working with teams and players etc.
We now turn our focus to the 2023 season and hopefully COVID 19 becomes a virus in the past, fields open up and the quality of players and teams improve.
We will continue to keep you updated as we progress.

FINAL - PSL Championship Series
Grind 8 / Force 7
Grind win the series 2-1
Saturday afternoon the San Diego Force forced a deciding game three to see who would take home the 2021 PSL 1st place trophy. The Force got out to a hot start game three, scoring six runs in the first three innings. Three in the first inning thanks to a 2 RBI double by Gabe Jones and an RBI single by Taylor Meaux. They scored another three runs in the third inning off of a 2 run homerun by Caleb Harmond and an RBI single by Alec Arnone. The bats cooled down for the Force after that. The Grind slowly made their way back into the game. They scored one in the fourth inning (RBI single by Andres Contreras), two in the sixth (RBI double by Jake Borst and an E4), and one in the seventh (RBI single by Micah Wiggs).
The Force answered with one of their own in the bottom of the seventh off of a wild pitch by Robert Carrillo. Going into the ninth inning the Grind were down 7 to 4. The Grind definitely lived up to their name this game. Conner Bell had a RBI single to score Victor Arreola. Then they grinded to get bases loaded for Zak Farris to hit a 3 RBI single to centerfield. Grind pitcher Rocco Gurrola was able to close the door in the bottom of the ninth. The Grind take the championship series with a final score of Grind 8, Force 7.
Zak Farris would win MVP for the champ series. Congratulations to both teams for an awesome season!
Today the Grind have a chance to sweep the championship series over the Force.
The continuation of Game 2 will start at 1 pm, with the score 9-9 in the top of the 10th inning.
If Game 3 is necessary, it will begin 20 minutes after the conclusion of Game 2.
Game One: Grind beat Force 9-5
Three runs against the Force’s starting pitcher, Jacob Kokeny in the bottom of the first inning put them in an early hole against the Grind. The Force punched back in the top of the second and closed the lead to 3-2. #25 Alec Arnone knocked an RBI- Double to score one and Ben Davidson brought home the second run with a clutch RBI-single. The action died down in the ensuing innings until the Force brought a resurgence in the top of the fifth. The Force’s lead off hitter #11 Hector Carreon hit a sac-fly to score Ben Davidson and knot the game 3-3. Kokeny rolled through three batters in the bottom of the fifth, giving the Force the opportunity to take the lead in the sixth. #5 Drake Pierson worked his way around the bases and into scoring position. The Force were not able to bring him across home plate and left a missed opportunity at third. The Force’s bats came back alive in the seventh, if only momentarily, when #24 Caleb Harmony had a double immediately followed by a single by Short Stop #28 Michael Davinni. The Force, again, missed out on the opportunity to score and were quickly back on defense in the top of the eighth. The Force shuffled through three relief pitchers as the Grind put up six runs in that solo inning. After a major setback, the Force entered the ninth in desperate need of a late rally. #14 Taylor Meaux entered the game after a week away from play and hit a bomb over the centerfield fence, knocking a two run- home run that closed the lead to 9-5. The rally fell flat after that and the Force dropped game one to the Grind.
GAME 2 will be finished Saturday at 1 pm from West Hills High School. The Grind will have a chance to sweep the 3 game series. Current score is 9-9 headed into the 10th inning. Game was postponed due to darkness.
