Nutrition tip of the week: How to increase your veggie intake.
1. Eating more soups and salads. This is a great way to incorporate a variety of veggies throughout the week. Salads are great with warm weather and soups are my favorite for cold weather. Make sure to add your favorite protein to make a complete meal.
2. If you don't like eating veggies this is an excellent way to add some. Veggies can be added to quick breads, smoothies, omelets, and sauces like bolognese. Feel free to ask for recipes!
3. Ever had savory oatmeal? This is a fantastic meal that includes all the macro nutrients, protein, carbs, and fats.

10 facts about me
1. I am a native San Diegan. We are a rare breed. If you know San Diego it's a sunny melting pot. There is a major military presence here and many people either move here for work or for the weather.
2. I am the youngest girl out of 10 kids in my family. Yup I have a very large family. It was always loud in the house growing up.
3. I'm super competitive! I love competing in races. But I use that competition to push myself further out of my comfort zone and reach new personal records.
4. I used to be a veterinary technician. I love animals and currently have 1 dog, 1 cat, 5 fish, 2 dwarf shrimp, 8 chickens, and fostering a monitor lizard.
5. I am mom to twins. Twins do not run in my family so it was quite the shock when I found out that I laughed and cried at the same time. We joked about having twins and getting a boy and girl. When we found out that's what we got we high five each other.
6. I hate having a messy house yet hate to clean. Having kids doesn't help the situation ð
7. I love to cook for others! If you're hungry let me know!
8. I would rather be outside than inside. I love seeing the different aspects of nature and the animals. I go for walks with my dog just about every day. The fresh air allows me to clear my head for the day and get some exercise.
9. I love to read. I have fond memories of reading in fancy chairs with my mom. I constantly have a stack of books to read. I have a few that are taped together because I've read them so many times. What are your favorite books?
10. I'm loyal almost to a default. I will always be there for you no matter what.
I would love to hear more about you! Feel free to send me a DM, especially if you have a good book or recipe recommendations!

Have you ever heard of the saying "Abs are made in the kitchen"? Do you know why that is? It's because the average American under estimates the amount of food they are actually eating by 50%! That's a huge amount!
Every person already has a 6 pack! I'm sure you don't believe me too. But it's true. The only reason we don't see them is because they are cover my a layer of adipose tissue. A person would need to work off that extra fluff in order to see them. To accomplish this in the simplest terms, one would need to burn more calories than what they consume..
Would you like a complimentary review of what you eat throughout the week? It would help you see what habits you could improve on. Such as eating more veggies and protein throughout the day.
If so send me a DM with the word "NUTRITION"

To be honest the last thing I wanted to do today was a workout! My mind was trying to saying that I needed to do the million things on my to-do list. The house is a disaster. And the kids were tired and grouchy. Yet my body craved the movement. I'm so glad I did it! Sometime you just have to do the workout!
What about you? Do you feel better after a workout?
