Jerry Baker Velodrome in Redmond, WA is having a 'Juniors Takeover' weekend event!
They also understand traveling is expensive and have recieved grant funds to assist those interested in participating that need to travel They are even coordinating host housing! The event on July 1st-3rd with clinics and racing every day for juniors of all ages. There also will be adult category racing on the 4th! INTRODUCTION TO RACING: If you are a newly certified Velo Sports Center (VSC) user, or maybe its just been a while and you are wondering how to step into the local track race scene, LAVRA has put together a clinic just for you! The LAVRA RACE SKILLS CLINIC will run two times: Oct 30-31 and Nov 13-14 at the VSC. Led by veterans Zach LaBry, Ivy Koester, and Kayla Hankins, this 2-day clinic will take you though everything you need to know to comfortably enter a track race. Space is limited to 20 riders per clinic so get your name in now. NOTE: If you are still finishing up your VSC certification, or plan to be finished by the time RACE SKILLS starts, this is an ideal time to transfer your newly minted skills! Congrats to San Diego Velodrome Junior Racer, Makena, for her 🔥awesome results🔥 at Track Nationals in Mexico! Her team won silver in Team Sprint, she took 7th in the Points Race (a fantastic great race for her), 8th in the 500m TT and 12th in the flying 200. Considering Makena has another year in this age group, huge potential next year!
