We are thrilled to be welcoming back BERNARD BROWN to SDSCPA today to audition for a new work he will be creating for our annual High School Dance Concert, MILESTONES!

Bernard Brown is a performing artist, choreographer, filmmaker, educator, and arts activist whose work centers Blackness, Queerness, and belonging. As the artistic director of Bernard Brown/bbmoves and a professor at UC San Diego, he creates award-winning dance for stage, film, opera, and site-specific spaces. His work has been presented internationally across Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America, reflecting a career dedicated to artistic excellence, social justice, and community engagement.

SDSCPA Dance just completed their 3 week residency with Virginie MeĢceĢne of Martha Graham Dance Company . Three weeks in a rehearsal intensive, master classes, and lessons only experienced dancers can give the next generation. We are forever grateful to be a part of the Martha Graham Company's 100th year celebration. We promise to honor this legacy with heart, breath, and community. Thank you Virginie, Kevin, and MGDC!
