4. Lunges help develop balance and stability ☑️
5. Lunges can be adapted to your level of experience. You can make them as easy or as difficult as you need ☑️

Your bathroom scale can be your best friend 🤗 or your worst enemy 😰
Stepping on the scale can give you the reassurance you need and proof of your progress.
Or it can be a source of stress and frustration.
If your scale is a source of stress, it’s hurting your progress.
Stress prevents you from losing weight and gaining muscle.
What should you do?
Step on the scale twice a month.
That gives you enough time to see a change, and it's frequent enough to make adjustments to your fitness routines.
Don’t avoid lifting heavy weights 💪
You might believe that it’s better to avoid the heavier weights in the gym. You don’t want to get “bulky” or hurt yourself.
Here’s why you SHOULD life heavy:
1. Lifting heavy can get you unstuck. One of the best ways to break through a plateau is to switch up your workout routines. If you haven’t been lifting heavy, it can be exactly what you need to reach your next goal.
2. Your muscles can strengthen without getting bigger. Your bones will get stronger as well, which helps prevent osteoporosis.
3. Lifting heavy can help males produce more testosterone.
4. Lifting heavy can increase your metabolism, which helps burn fat.
5 Fitness Rules
1. Don’t compare your journey.
Everyone is at a different point, dealing with different obstacles, and aiming at different goals.
2. Focus on today.
What can you do today to get better? Pay less attention to what happened last week. You have an opportunity today.
3. Celebrate your small wins.
Your big accomplishments are always made up of your compounding small wins.
4. You can overcome every single obstacle.
It doesn’t matter what’s in your way. There is always a way to get over it or move around it.
5. Understand that you’re unique.
There’s no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to fitness. What worked for them might not work for you. Your diet, daily routine, and exercise plan will be unique to you.
Believe it or not, training more might not be the key to your success.
It’s easy to think: “I just need to workout extra hard!”
But there are other factors and habits that are more impactful than spending an extra hour in the gym this week.
The hours you spend outside the gym, what you eat, what you focus on, and how you sleep all play an important role in your overall health.
Reminder: you won’t move a mountain today.
You won’t lose all the weight or gain all the muscle that you want to this afternoon.
But you can move a few stones.
They also say the best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.
(fyi: that’s not diet advice)
Here’s the point - do a few small things every day.
Consistent small action is how you’ll accomplish big things. It works with money, relationships, eating healthy, and exercise.
Exercising for 15 minutes a day for a month is far better and more sustainable than exercising for 7.5 hours today.
The best way to get stronger, leaner, and more athletic comes down to executing time-tested principles, consistently.
This is your reminder to stretch today ⚠️
With a body full of muscles, the idea of daily stretching may seem overwhelming. But you don't need to stretch every muscle you have.
The areas critical for mobility are in your lower extremities: your calves, your hamstrings, your hip flexors in the pelvis and quadriceps in the front of the thigh.
Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints.
Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.
Stretching once today won't magically give you perfect flexibility. You'll need to do it over time and remain committed to the process.
