Spring into sailing! Afterschool classes run from March 2–May 24. All levels welcome, so come join the fun ⛵✨

On February 28th, MBYC is hosting a Junior Friendraiser, and it’s free for members and any friends who might be curious about sailing or just want to try something new.

It will be a super fun afternoon where you can meet some of our junior coaches, check out the boats, and even head out for a sail (with a coach on board). Whether you already sail, used to sail, or have never stepped on a boat, it’s a great way to experience the welcoming yacht club community.

If you’re local and want to come hang out on the water, you’re more than welcome to join us!

Team MBYC crushed it this weekend at the Harold Adams Team Race . MBYC placed 4th overall in a stacked fleet of teams and making it to Gold for the FIRST time. Congrats to MBYC and Coach Jimmer!

🎃👻 Screaming Chicken got spooky! From ghostly sails to ghoulish giggles, we had a blast racing in costume and celebrating Halloween. Thanks to the Silvergate Juniors for bringing the fright and fun and joining in on our racing. 🐔💨🕸️

"The Snipe Western Hemisphere & Asia Championship is set to begin on Tuesday, September 2, with 27 teams from Argentina, the Bahamas, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Japan, and the USA competing in the waters off Coronado, San Diego....Other favorites include the young American teams of Justin Callahan & Trevor Davis and Owen Fretwell & Colin Krebs."

MBYC teams came in hot taking 1st and 3rd at this year’s Snipe Junior (under22) Nationals in Annapolis this past weekend!! Congrats to Owen/Colin and Paige/Efe! They have all now qualified for the Snipe Junior Worlds 2026 to be held in Melilla, Spanish Morocco next summer!!

Team MBYC wins Silver at the US Sailing Junior Triple/Quadruplehanded Championship for the Sears Cup!!

Sean and Wes made the Gold Fleet at 29er Worlds and continue to sail an incredible event! One more day of racing to go in Portugal!!

San Francisco Bay will be sure to bring the excitement to this year’s Sears Cup US Junior Keelboat Championship. Good luck to MBYC’s Team from back of the boat to front: Owen Fretwell (skipper), Paige Tillson (main/tactics), Efe Derman (jib/pit/tactics) and Carlin Fretwell (bow). Racing starts tomorrow!!!

Follow along as Team MBYC Sailors, Sean Kaseburg and Wes LaRue compete in the 29er WORLD Championships in Porto, Portugal, among the 400+ sailors from 28 different countries!! After two days of racing, Sean and Wes sit in an impressive 29th of the 202 boats!! Racing continues through Aug 8th.
