We will be open and training on Saturday (12:30pm) this weekend at 9460 Mira Mesa Blvd, a couple blocks west of the 15 exit.

Train with us this Saturday at 12:30pm or Sunday at 10:00am. Samurai Sword and Aikido.

Super Bowl is at 3:30pm on Sunday and class starts at 10:00am. So you have plenty of time to get ready for the big game after class. Come and train with us. You'll feel energized and develop a healthy appetite for all those chicken wings and 7-layer dip!

Not training on Superbowl Sunday? Come and train with us today at 12:30 for Sword/Iaido and 1:15 Aikido.

AIKIDO and SAMURAI SWORD. AIKIDO-Our chief instuctor Dr. Koichi Nakamura has over 45 years experience in Japanese Martial Arts and Healing Arts (acupuncture & shiatsu). His focus is on teaching you how to apply Aikido throws and joint locks on ANYONE: muscular, flexible, short, tall, knife attacks, etc.

SWORD/IAIDO: Beginners use unsharpened steel swords (iaito) for kata and wooden swords (bokken) for two person drills.

Class is friendly and respectful. No bullying by instructors or seniors. Open to teens to seniors who are patient and respectful.

TIP: When building or shopping for k**a, consider utilizing oval handles with slightly flattened sides. A completely round handle makes it more difficult to know which way the blades are pointed, which can be very dangerous. Flattened sides also help in transitioning between folded out and folded in methods of holding the weapon.
