Personal Training that's actually FUN for active competitors or students looking just a great workou

Got some good sparring in at my new gym in Tokyo.

My focus was on slips and parrying during my boxing rounds. The feints and working my jab for measuring are a natural part of my flow at this point. See how I throw off rhythm and measure out with the jab in the boxing rounds.

My 6th annual "I been in the gym" post.๐Ÿ˜‚

This year was rough af honestly. I reached 260lbs (117kg), which is the heaviest I have ever been. Father time caught up to me a lil bit with arthritis and a few knee sprains. I drank way too much tequila and smoked more ci**rs than I needed to, but I stayed my ass in the gym.

I knew that once I got past a few mental hurdles I would get back to where I needed to be. Here I am after my first full month of Thailand. All I needed was some meal prep and the same discipline that has gotten me through the years. I'm 36 af, but I don't let these ailments take me completely out the game.

Year 5 of the Big Chuck era: Staying dangerous.๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿฟ

My annual "I been in the gym" pic.๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ˜‚ You see the difference good posture makes? I won't get into that too much.

Just wanted to let you all know that a steady diet of throwing hands and whatever my wife feeds me is working. I still spend a lot of time focusing on functional movement exercises for combat sports too. Discipline has pushed me when my motivation completely drops. I have learned to listen to my body and not put too much pressure on working out 4 or 5 times a week. Three days are still productive.

4-year difference

This journey with my body has not been easy. I have had to defeat my self-doubt every single day just to be capable. I lost interest in the aesthetics over decade ago and decided to strive for functionality. In my mind, it was like the day that I realized that opportunity was more important than the amount of money I could make, and time was a more important currency. If I could perform at a superior level, the aesthetics would follow. Hypertrophy (the gains) became second nature.

My body now represents transcendence. It's not just a fitness but a representation of my journey as whole. I chose a very unconventional way to live, and it has paid dividends that I couldn't have imagined. I am always seeking improvements, but I don't allow those improvements to overcome my will to live a life of peace. Through all the ci**rs and bottles of tequila, I transcend and continue to elevate my mental and push my limitations.

My brother and I got to put in some work on level changes and feints in an angling movement combo. Pay attention to the lessons on proper body mechanics in the technique.
