Be a student of life. Be a sponge for knowledge and growth, yet firm and grounded in your core values.

A few years ago I began carrying a journal around with me everywhere I went so that I could learn from every experience. I take notes and document in real time what I am going through and what I am learning.

Most of the time when we feel stuck in our circumstances and feel like we are in a “rut” it is simply because we are repeating the same decision patterns and thought processes that got us there in the first place.

We lose 50% recollection of an experience within 48 hours of it happening. When we're going through life without presence and awareness, we are on autopilot. If you want a massive change in your life.. jump in the captains seat and take control!

I take notes so that I can go back and apply the systems and tools that I learned.

We can either evolve or revolve!

Which one are you doing?

Don't base your goals off of what you can currently SEE... instead, create goals so big that they will transform you into what you can BE!!!

We are not born with discipline... but we cannot succeed without it!!

The mind of a warrior can handle emense amounts of stress. They have the ability to stay calm both physiologically and psychologically in times of crisis and chaos.
While others are overwhelmed, exhausted, stressed, panicked and looking for an escape... the warrior steps up and faces adversity head on.

They are confident in their ability to overcome.

This is what they've been training for.

They can push themselves mentally and emotionally because they have consistently put in the time breaking physical barriers and training their mind and body to work for them!

Life is full of high stress circumstances that are out of our control.. Are you training your body and mind to handle the stress?

A high performance life needs a strong mind and body.

Break up with the scale!!

When trying to lose weight, lean down, get healthy, etc...we tend to base our perspective by the number on the scale.. weighing ourself every day. Feeling accomplished and ready to take on the day if we're down a pound, yet disappointed if we're up or haven't moved.

When you micromanage and stress about your weight, you increase the release of cortisol (the stress hormone) in your body. One of the roles of cortisol in the body is metabolism regulation. With consistent increased levels of cortisol, the metabolism is unable to function regularly causing increased weight retention and inflammation as well as causing less than ideal choices the rest of the day as well!

When we are weight focused, we make decisions based on losing weight short term rather than making decisions and changes based on long term results and optimal health.

Our bodies can only physically gain or lose approximately 2 pounds of fat per week!

Anything more than that is water retention and muscle; therefore, weighing ourselves daily and stressing about our weight consistently only keeps you from your goal!

Enjoy the process and never look back.. you're not going that direction!

This Valentine's Day break up with the scale and fall in love with the person in the mirror.

January of 2018 vs January 2019

On the left..
overtraining, in pain all the time, very limited mobility. fighting off sugar cravings/addiction. Drastic highs and lows. Stress. anxiety. Fatigued. Counting macros to a T. Daily weigh ins. Felt bulky. Constant inflammation. Inadequate rest.

On the right...
20 lbs lighter. Healthy relationship with food and fitness. Strong. Functional. Excellent energy. Effortlessly living. Vibrant. Full recovery rest. Confident in my body and my strength. Freedom from seeing myself through the numbers. Passionate and powerful.

Discipline equates to freedom!

Imagine how that PHYSICAL transformation enhances the rest of your life. How much more you could accomplish with more energy and more strength. The opportunities you would take if you felt confident in your skin. How much more impactful you could be in the other roles of life. Your body is the machine you are living this life in and the quality of life correlates with the way that you take care of it.

New Year, New You!!

That seems to be a popular topic floating around this time of year...

But what if....

Instead of trying to change everything that you're not, you begin loving yourself for everything that you are!!

What if you decided to focus on your accomplishments, rather than the failures!

When you change the way you see yourself.. you change the way you treat yourself and ultimately... the way that you live your life!

Be proud of who you are!

Be inspired to jump out of bed every single morning and run towards the endless limits of everything that you are capable of!

Don't HIDE! Go SEEK!!

Take a look at your 24 hours.... where are you wasting time? Where are you "escaping" the things that stress you out? Where can you do more?

Filter out the clutter, raise your standard, and start adding in things that are going to make your next 24 hours an upgrade from today!

Don't treat your life as an employee!! Take responsibility!

You are CEO!

You are in control!

You are responsible!

The goals and dreams that I have for my future and the impact I want to make are so much larger than my comfort zone.

So are yours!!

Imagine if you took one step forward every single day.... where would you be?? Where would you end up? What could you accomplish?

What could you accomplish without the self doubt, limiting belief, and complacency?

1/7/2019- my first published article!! An insignificant milestone to some, but to me.... it's just the beginning... to me... a million more opportunities became visible and I took a big step (of many) towards my future vision!

I want to inspire and empower as many women as possible to level up their performance and enhance their potential through optimizing their health and adopting the mindset of an athlete, the heart of a warrior and the faith/belief of a child!

Thank you Life By Design Magazine
and Jennifer Meim for being supportive and encouraging me to step forward!!

I can't wait to see where I'm at 1/7/2020... @ San Diego, California
