Welcome to Shark Diver. Our passion is to introduce the public to apex predators in their undersea world.

We are a commercial shark diving company and resource for the film/tv industry. We also are a tourism development company called Shark Divers.

“Sad Face” a regular visitor at Guadalupe Island. In the first picture from 2018, you can still see the faint upside down smile that gave him his name.

In 2019 ( 2nd picture) you would not bable to recognize him by that scarring. It had completely disappeared, only to be replaced by a big injury to his gills.

In 2021, ( 3rd picture) even the big injury to his gills is looking a lot better.

Because of their amazing ability to heal, we don’t use bite injuries for identification purposes. Mutilations, pieces of a fin missing for example, are permanent and can be used as an aid in identifying an individual shark.

All our divers receive a copy of the official Guadalupe White Shark photo ID and learn how to identify the sharks we encounter.

Contrary to popular believe, Great White Sharks do not “frenzy”! Even with tuna bait in the water, they still swim around slowly, checking everything out before they actually try to eat the bait.

Notice how they give each other space and never get super close?Swimming like that gives them the chance to measure up the other sharks and determine their pecking order. If 2 sharks get too close and neither makes a move away from the other, there is usually biting involved. We see lots of sharks with bite marks from other sharks.

Observing them in their natural environment and coming face to face with them is an experience you’ll never forget!

Lovin' the love! And all can't get enough. ❤️

More grey whale goodness from our divers Laura and Joseph, who took the grey whale glamping adventure in San Ignacio, Mexico. You can do it too... until April!

We don’t usually see 2 Great White Sharks hang out together. Normally when they get this close to each other, one will bite the other.

After 20 years of diving with these awesome animals, they still have the ability to surprise me.

Want to find out what it’s like to come face to face with a Great White Shark? Come join us on one of our expeditions!

“Crazy Tryss” coming in to check out our divers. She stuck her nose between the cage and the boat, something that great white sharks don’t normally do, she stayed calm and watched me the whole time she explored that space before slowly swimming away.

Behavior like this is what earned her the name Crazy Tryss.
