Ludus Enkrateia
Where hard honest work is done to educate the body & mind. A place to embark in a self-finding proce Ludus- is a word of latin origin and it means, "school."
Ludus Enkrateia or The Ludus for short, started as a strength and conditioning practice and has recently became a physical place. By using various training modalities (strength and conditioning, Functional Training, Movement training, conventional to unconventional styles) we help guide and educate our clients on what it takes to create meaningful change in their lives. Ludus Enkrateia... 'the school of Self-Mastery'. I started this journey from the approach of a physical trainer and coach...now I have evolved, seeing more connections from a perspective as a health and wellness coach, to a energy healer, and now a father.
This book is a manifestation of that change... I'm am not only a trainer anymore. I am a practical-philospher using all of these roles to help those who want to master themselves. To become an integrated man or woman, that will allow themselves to live vitally, meaningfully...optimally. I want to continue in sharing some light that may help guide us through our lives through this book.
In it depicts some lessons in life, providing a different perspective in how we approach our world. These lessons are expressed through a special bond... one between a father and his daughter. I hope you give it a chance and decide to experience it.
Thank you for being part of our intention!

Hello 👋,
We know we've been quiet, but we just want to let you know we are still here. We came to an understanding of who we are and that it has to be expressed in a different way. We have been working silently to bring it to light, so we can maximize our impact in many people's lives. It's coming around and when it's ready we will let you all know.
The question is, "How are you?". And we ask in the deepest form of that question. "HOW are you?" How is your spirit? How are your emotions? How is your mind?
We gently want to remind everyone that, whatever is happening in your world, to always turn inward and to reflect on your habits, responses and behaviors. Get cracking on knowing your "whys". In a world where we place so much weight on external things to solve our problems [i.e vaccine, blaming others, money, medication etc.] because it's human nature to love instant gratification without work or struggle, the one thing that can truly help or propel us forward or even heal us is an inward process that takes work, it takes time, it also takes sacrifice for us to skip the instant gratification, knowing that we will have true happiness through peace down the line. It takes facing ourselves, acceptance and changing our behaviors and habits.
We want to strengthen our community by reminding them that everything comes from within, so let's ignore the external chatter and distractions, and pay attention to our own inner demons or inner child that needs healing.
Tips on the How?
• Pay attention to your inner dialog and have a conversation with yourself (through thought, meditation is best)
• investigate why you think the way you think or investigate your emotions when extreme emotions arise.
• have a conversation with someone without judging ea. Other or imposing ones views on another... just simple share and respect.
• journal
• hire a therapist or a health and wellness coach [it's for maintaining your health, not when your health is down the drain, so stop thinking you have to use these services when you're sick, it's for enhancing your life no matter what stage.]
•energy/emotion healing
•exercise (especially challenging yourself)
We hope your doing well in a rapid changing world and if you need anything let us know. Take care.

What is Shadow Work?
At the simplest level, shadow work is a process that involves becoming aware of the pieces of ourselves that we hide, judge, or feel shame around. It is a process of identifying the parts of ourselves that have been made unconscious, or put in the "shadow", identifying how and where in our lives this denial or repression has impacted our lives. The characteristics that are part of the shadow self come from a place of trauma. Meaning, when we act on these emotions that come from the shadow self, when we "lash out", we act from that place of trauma. And when we think of "trauma", we think of a catastrophic event, but this is not the case. Trauma is defined as a "deeply distressing event", which can mean any experience that has created a profound memory that negatively affected you. It can be a "simple" event as in being embarrassed by a teacher in front of a class, but because this emotion was suppressed, an event like this can lead to a lash of negative emotion down the line (years later even) over something so small, but have profound effects on the present moment. Creating awareness or doing deeper healing processes, can release these deep wounds and reclaim your authentic self. With awareness, we can create understanding. With understanding we can create love. And with love we can create transformation.
We will continue to explore and also give more info in this type of process and most of all tips to become aware! Stay tuned for more!
To close our series on Self-Exploration, here's a lesson on the four obstacles that you will face in the Journey towards your Personal Legend...
1) From childhood and onward, we were told that what we want to do is impossible. As time goes on, our calling is so deeply buried in our soul and becomes invisible. But it never leaves us; in fact, it may be the reason why we feel that there is something "more" or missing in our life. Have the courage to breakthrough and follow your true calling.
2) After mustering the courage, we will face the second obstacle: Love. We are afraid of hurting those around us by "abandoning" everything in order to pursue our dream. We do not realize that love is an energy used to move forward and that those who genuinely wish us well want us to be happy. They are prepared to accompany us on our journey.
3) When we realize that love is a stimulus, the third obstacle is fear. Fearing the "defeats" that we will face in our path. The fear that pursuing our dream will not work out, fear that we are suffering more than those who are not pursuing their dream. We must practice patience in difficult times, for it's actually the universe conspiring in our favor, even if we do not understand. Defeats happen to refine us; it's how we learn. Next thing you know, overcoming defeats becomes easier and quicker and we start to enjoy the challenge, for we see that we are growing ourselves.
4) When we start to accept the fact that our defeats will always be a part of our life, we start to get closer to realizing our calling. Hence the 4th obstacle: the fear of realizing the dream for which we fought all our lives. The possibility of getting what we want fills the soul of a person with guilt, looking around to those who have failed to get what they want. We feel that we do not deserve to get what we want either. We forget all the obstacles we overcame and all the suffering we endured. This is the most dangerous of the obstacles because it has a saintly aura. But if you believe yourself worthy of what you fought so hard for, you will realize you have become an instrument of God, and that you help the "Soul of the World" and understand why you are here.

This week we will explore how we practice Self-Compassion through the use of endurance... But as we start & prepare... Here are some questions that we can dig deeper with to gain a deeper perspective of ourselves to later reflect and measure our growth. Please share your responses in the comment section! We're curious to know!
Also, please let us know and message us if you’re interested in personal Health and Wellness coaching! 😊👍
In 2021 we're doing something new, with a different focus every month. This month, our focus is the Mind-Body Connection!
The Mind-Body connection may seem elementary for most of us. In reality, however, we tend to stay at a basic understanding of this and is put into the back burner of our everyday life disregarding its importance. The Mind-Body connection is not merely, "the mind sends signals to the body to move, when I make the decision to move". The connection is about understanding that everything we experience (emotions, food, movies, music, social interactions, environment... LIFE) is information, and how we process this information (perceptions, values/beliefs) will lead to physical expression and depending on that expression may manifest to health or disease. The Mind-Body Connection allows us to become "sensitive" to the feedback loop in which our mind and body communicate, allowing us to deeply understand both our body and mind. This increases our awareness and with this allows us to have more control over ourselves for we can now make the conscious decision to change, adjust or manuever allowing us to grow, heal or be resilient. This connection is the process of bringing the subconscious to the conscious mind, which is a form of Self-Mastery.
How is this done? The practice of Mindfulness. Most importantly what you put your mind to as you experience the events in your life.
For us, our programming for this month will focus on developing more sensitivity to how the body communicates to the mind and paying attention to how the mind reacts to such stress. Basically doing more movements that require more brain power will increase our sensitivity to the feedback loop between mind and body, and recognizing our thought process as to how we handle such stresses will give us a look into our true character and perceptions.
We shall share more as we continue to explore this topic, but for now we hope this has enlightened you a bit and may be used in your training or even your life ☺️

Ready...Set...(take a deep breath)...GO
There were many sudden obstacles in 2020. We learned a lot about our own [human] nature, especially how our own perceptions can either make us or break us. Although we hope for the best we expect 2021 to be worse, and in that we continue to evolve. Though we can never be fully prepared, we can stay ready.
We do not believe in resolutions for growth is daily in our culture... We keep experimenting and reflecting, test-assess-retest to continue to know ourselves and make sure we are on the path to become the person we envision ourselves to be. To further explore the depths of those traits and characteristics to truly understand them, expanding our own consciousness. This is our form of existentialism which will allow us to stay resilient no matter what the future holds. Our goal is to increase HUMAN performance, not in terms of sport but in life, through Well-being.
We made slight changes to help align our philosophy, programming and social sharing so that we can better showcase what we truly do in hope that we become a beacon for those who are searching.
With that being said, the Month of January is dedicated to exploring the topic of the "Mind-Body Connection". We'll see you on the road and for some of you... We hope to cross paths with you.

Intentional... Paying attention to how we want our students to feel and how we want to impact them psychologically and emotionally, day in and day out is what we mean by programming intentionally.
It doesn't always have to be harsh and rushed. Performance is not always about the best time. Results is not always through high intensity. It is about knowing what to do with the time given and understanding what the "Being" has gone through and providing what is needed to continually grow.
Our intention as depicted above is about resilience, balance, stability and awareness. By doing it physically you are also working on these four traits in other aspect of your well-being (referring to emotional, psychological and spiritual). Especially during our supplemental workouts our students are coached to be present and to be mindful of their body, to move with fluidity and to be aware of their "lines" (body angles).

This became an instant Ludus classic! Inspired by Marvel's Avengers: Endgame, this FyF embodies "possibilities" in one's journey, and how quickly one can adapt to change instantly. This FyF is also cerebral in the fact this program deals with degrees of randomization which can reveal the thought processes of an individual. Learn more about the creation of this one on this episode!!!
