We’ll be at Neal Petties Community Park this Saturday for the Juneteenth Celebration and unveiling of the Black Family statue, a family event with food, music, vendors and more. Sunday, June 14th is a special Family Health Fair at Jackie Robinson YMCA from 2-4:30pm. Next week will be a special Juneteenth Celebration farmers market on Thursday 6/18 at the Lemon Grove Farmers Market, and of course there will be a special Community Work Day at Mt. Hope Community Garden observing Juneteenth on Saturday, June 20th from 9am to 12pm.

🌞 Summer party for a great cause! On Tuesday, June 23rd, join us at the Mt. Hope Community Garden for our Summer Solstice Social, a friend-raiser event supporting food justice and urban agriculture in the Good Food District.

As we near the end of the school year, just a reminder that this week and next week will be our last Morse HS farmers markets until school is back in session in the fall. Also, we want to express our gratitude to all the SDSU interns who have been volunteering at the People’s Produce MFM throughout the year, and congratulate all the 2026 grads!
Also, reminder - we have a special work day happening this Saturday, May 23 at our Uvas Wellness Garden. We’re looking for a small group of community members ages 14-24 for a special garden revitalization project at this new growing space. A few months ago, the PNV team had an opportunity to visit and take a tour through Living For Today Ranch in Bonita. It was a wonderful experience, and the work that Luis De La Rosa and Monica McDade are doing out there is amazing!
