I had the cooking bug tonight so I made a pasta dish using Lidia’s fusilli, onion, garlic, yellow peppers, artichoke hearts, black olives, chicken breast, olive oil, tomatoes etc. it feels good to be a gangster 😎

Healthy but still semi homemade can be done easily with a pantry of healthier options. Sliced zucchini sautéed with garlic powder, topped off with a jar of butternut pasta sauce that I added Swiss Chard to soften. Crushed h**p hearts on very top to give a cheese flavor and thicken the sauce.

Jamaica (Hibiscus) tea is great to have on hand as the weather warms up. Easy to make and numerous health benefits along with quite tasty.
Hibiscus is packed with antioxidants, boost liver health, and may aid in weight. It’s also known to help lower blood pressure and may help prevent some cancers.

Garlic sautéed Collard greens are a quick and healthy side dish. Only 15 minutes of cooking time and no add pork products so cholesterol free. Roasted turnips with rosemary all the flavor, but much lower glycemic than a potato.

Detoxing your body is a good way to reset your cravings, energy and diet. On January 3rd I started the 14 day cleanse the I stayed on eating Whole Foods. One month later I’m still motivated to keep up my improved diet of no processed foods. It’s given my work out a boost with the added energy and less joint pain.

Jicama fries with Cajun seasoning made in the air fryer are not only delicious, but low on glycemic index. My trick is to parboil jicama strips with a little baking soda for ten minutes. Drain well, coat in olive oil and spice of choice then air fry.
I have flavored them with curry spices, Mexican spice blend and Cajun in the past.

After completion of the 14 day Comprehensive Detox Cleanse I have more energy and a lot less joint pain and discomfort.
Starting to eat only Whole Foods for the next 30 days to further reduce inflammation and reduce cravings for sweets and highly processed foods. Helps that I dropped 10 pounds already.

Classes are taught by Mike Edwards Personal Trainer certified by National Academy of Sports Medicine. This fun group training class will offer a unique blend of functional movements and conditioning. The program is designed to be challenging and competitive, but will also teach clients how to train smarter, and avoid injury.

Our initial physical assessment will help our coaches determine how to best work with each individual client.
