A look behind the scenes at some of the work that goes into preparing for the Rose Parade .

Scripps Miramar Ranch at the 2025 Equestfest! Days before the Rose Parade all the equestrian units gather at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center for an entertaining public performance called Equestfest. This year Scripps Miramar Ranch wowed the crowds with this antique horse-drawn fire engine dating back to the 1870s. The three abreast team used to pull this historic steam engine wear original harnesses that were specially designed for quick hitching in case of a fire. The team is accompanied by four American Saddlebred horses and their decorated riders!

Michele Macfarlane had the honor of escorting the Rose Parade President, the Rose Parade Queen, and her Princesses into the arena at Equestfest. Look for us tomorrow in the parade - we are entry 45 in the line of march!
