WOW! January is coming to a close and those that did the push-up challenge with Master Pattison will complete 5,000 push-ups! More importantly they saw amazing growth in ability and strength in their entire body. Well, he's at it again for February!
SIT-UP Challenge Time!!! - Go by the same principle and take the day of the month and multiply it times 10, this is how many sit-ups you'll do for the day. Feel free to spread them out throughout the day, and perform various types of sit-ups, just stay consistent and put in the work. Do check in and let us know how it's going!
Oh, and for those of you that did the push-up challenge...Don't quit! During the month, you found out to set up your day for success. Keep doing sets of push-ups everyday! Maybe just 3 or so though. Master Pattison has stated that he'll be continuing with 3 sets every morning, probably 50 in each set, but he'll see some days may be 70 in each while others are less. Just listen to your body!
Feel Free to check in with Master Pattison on facebook https://www.facebook.com/MasterPattison or instagram

Great interview...
Outstanding demonstration! Some of our CMA students have started learning Korean Sword taught by our Wolfgang Engel.
Sometimes you simply have to shut your eyes and give it everything you've got! This young student, while facing someone bigger and higher in rank, launches an amazing reverse punch to the head, really going for it! This captures CMA's concept of Empowering Through Action. The more comfortable students are to put it all out there, the more opportunities they will have for successes and growth. CMA continues to provide a safe environment where children of all ages, 4 to 84, can stretch their boundaries.

So proud of Riley's continued successes in life! We are so happy that the lessons that his amazing parents instilled were reinforced by martial arts training and have stuck with him all these years. Congratulations Riley on making the big leagues! (Riley was one of CMA's youngest Black Belts thanks to the positive/competitive relationship with his older brother!)
MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM on Twitter “Long before he was a Major League catcher, Riley Adams earned a second-degree black belt in karate. The two accomplishments are definitely related. | https://t.co/d4TDIPadrT”
Imagine the surprise when I looked closer... Don't be limited because you don't have the right tools for the trade.

CMA Community
Good Afternoon CMA Families,
I hope this finds you all in good health and in good spirits.
Our goal is always to support the many families of CMA and our community in the best way possible. I understand that these uncertain times are extremely hard for all of us and CMA is making every effort to develop ways for us all to remain connected. This situation is very stressful as we all are trying to make the right decisions by weighing all the input available from the various sources. Business decisions are easy, however this is a very different situation and everyone is trying to do what we feel is right for the greater good each step of the way.
It is with a heavy heart that all CMA studios will remain closed until the CDC and government deem it safe and reasonable to re-open our doors. Should you happen to drive by and see the lights on, understand that I may be recording material for the new online training portion of the CMA website. Our goal is that by the end of today, there will be an email that goes out regarding everyone's login credentials.
I know this remote learning method will be a wonderful addition to the CMA learning tools, as well as being a great way to stay connected. Additionally, there are plans for eLearning methods where students can video chat with instructors to augment the online lessons and connect. At this time, should you wish to email a video of your form or training, your instructor will be happy to look over it and help you improve via email. The couple of videos already received are wonderful.
I am committed to our CMA staff and their families. Once the current situation is resolved, CMA will offer private lessons, special clinics, and additional online resources. I am open to any and all ideas that show appreciation for your support during these times.
As this is a continuously evolving situation, I will keep you informed as to any changes that may occur. Should you or your family have any needs or concerns, please let me know and CMA will find you help or attempt to address your concerns as best as we possibly can at this time.
Please stay healthy and safe.
Thank you,
Mark W. Pattison, SBN
Update: Our CMA studios are working hard to provide for all CMA students and families. The Encinitas location will be closing, as of today, to further the online training that will be offered through our website. Carmel Valley will still offer classes.
