Like a lot of places around the world Whale Sharks, Mantas, and reef sharks are attracted to powerful lights that are hung of the back of dive boats. The lights attract plankton. Here is one that popped for a good fed off Fuvahmulah, Maldives:

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. Can't believe I made it to 77! To tell the truth growing up in the sixties during "s*x, drugs, and rock n roll" I didn't think I'd make it past 30. Now I'm living in the "Geezerhood!"
