🕊 In Loving Memory of Our Dear Friend, Michel Ribet

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved friend and member of the San Diego Pétanque Club, Michel Ribet.

Michel was more than just a pétanque player; he was a true sportsman in every sense of the word. His passion for life was contagious. Whether he was throwing boules on the court, running long distances in his beloved marathons, or sharing a drink and laughter with friends at every time, Michel always brought energy and positivity to every moment.

Those who had the privilege to know him will always remember his bright smile, his kind heart, and his words of wisdom. Michel had a unique way of lifting people’s spirits, always encouraging, always supportive, and always present. He made everyone feel like part of something special.

💙 Michel, we will miss you deeply. We will miss the friendship you so generously shared with everyone around you.

You leave behind not only wonderful memories but also a lasting example of how to live life with passion, kindness, and joy.

Rest in peace, dear Michel.
Your San Diego Pétanque Club family will always carry your spirit with us in every throw, every smile, and every shared moment on and off the court.

Competing in the petanque West Coast Cup tournament at Los Angeles was a blast, and we were delighted to be invited and go up against such talented clubs (Los Angeles Pétanque Club, Fresno Petanque Club, Lunes de Petank, Club +Petanca)

Thank you Pierre Constantin, Momo, and all the LAPC members for your hospitality and amazing organization on this tournament.

We are glad for being able to get first place 🥇and bring the cup 🏆 to San Diego. We look forward to hosting the next edition of this club tournament in 2026.
