I crave earning a job well done, reading the book, writing my own material, researching, and honoring the hard work of those before me.

Ritual Retreat 2025

As I am preparing for this year's retreat I'm reflecting on last years' phenomenal people.

Pilates and community building are 2 of my favorite things. It fills me up just thinking about this global family that we are apart of; this network of good hearted folks that love helping others maximize their quality of life.

How are you observing ?

I love taking the time to complete the full mat series every single day.
It adds loads of quality to the rest of my day. It greatly increases my ability to focus (with my daughter) , my patience (while sitting in traffic), and my empathy at work (pilates is hard!)

It helps to begin by becoming comfortable with what feels good to you.

Day 4 of doing all 34. The Mat work is all about opening you up, if you let it.

A client told me yesterday that "this work not only keeps getting harder- but better! As in, feels amazing. I'm not after a burn." Hallelujah.

The foundational exercises and the critical nuances of your basic reformer series are everything.

Whether you've been practicing for one year or 15, your foundation always needs tending. After all, the basics are not so basic.

Let the exercises teach you.

Just teach the exercises for optimal results.

I've watched a lot of teachers (myself included)talk and talk and talk and talk about all that you'll feel while performing an exercise. You don't want to hear this, but it's all very unnecessary. It can seem like the fun,sparkly, and exciting stuff that you want to share- but save it for later. I promise, it's worth it. It will be even sparklier when the body is moving through the exercises.

Allow the exercises to give you all you need. It'll keep your sessions on track and the body in front of you evolving.

Let the exercises teach you.
