Come out and support a great cause!

Reminder that Nott's has a zero tolerance for any abuse directed towards referees.

The imperfections in refereeing are as much a part of the game as the imperfections during play on the field - how coaches and parents handle themselves on and off the field sets the tone for youth players to keep focused on playing the game regardless of whatever call is made.

While you're arguing, your players are distracted, the referee is distracted and annoyed and the other team now has the advantage.

Since when has arguing, insulting or yelling at a referee ever given anyone what they want anyway?

Think before you react.

It's a game - an amazing sport where players give it everything they have and rise above anything they face - including bad calls.

If parents and coaches show positive sportsmanship, their kids will excel.

Adopt the Hickman Youth Athletic Association ("HYAA") General Development Plan

Hello Managers, Parents & Players,

The reason for this post is to inform everyone about the upgrade to our Hickman facility as our HIP committee (Hickman Improvement Project) has successfully pushed our plans to the City Of San Diego and acquired a March 20th meeting.

With your support, we can start making improvements to Hickman as early as this year. Can you imagine paved driveways and parking lots? New rest rooms to replace porta-potties? And lights so that practices, games, and tournaments can take place under the stars. We can. Please join us or sign up online! NOW!

We would appreciate EVERYONE"S attendance and support.....Wear your Forest or Mesa Soccer Jersey's....Come support!

PLEASE forward the link to anyone and everyone...literally. Your support is really appreciated!

Also, for those interested in attending the meeting on March 20th, please come and show your support, we would love to see everyone at:

March 20th 6:00pm
MOC 2 Auditorium
9192 Topaz Way
San Diego CA 92123

The letter below was written on behalf of all the entities within HYAA (Hickman Youth Athletic Association) So we would really appreciate it if you could sign the petition, link below, so we can stress the number of people this facility attracts on an annual bases, whether it's Soccer, Baseball or Softball.

Dear Friends,

We are writing because there is an important community meeting coming up that will impact the future of Hickman Field, and the young athletes who play there. I have attached a copy of the City notice containing the pertinent information about the meeting location, date, and time. The primary issue confronting us today, is the City’s Park and Recreation and Planning Department’s insistence on placing an aquatic center and gymnasium at the site, and replacing the existing Mustang baseball field, which will leave 9-10 year old players without their “field of dreams.” These baseball fields have been in continuous use for over 44 years, and have seen thousands of our local kids play their entire youth baseball careers there.

We have a petition that will be delivered to Mayor Filner, and Park & Recreation Director Stacy LoMedico, asking that they direct staff to re-evaluate the aquatic center idea. At a minimum, we would ask that they look for alternative locations if they are adamant about spending tax dollars on a new pool.

There are two ways you can help.

First, you can visit the link below and add your name to the growing list of San Diegan's opposed to building a pool at Hickman Field.

Second, you and your son/daughter can attend the upcoming public meeting and show your support for Hickman Youth Athletic Association’s proposed General Development Plan.

If you plan to attend, please ask your child to wear his/her jersey. Let’s make sure the City does the right thing by our kids.
