Strong men aren’t men who never struggle.

They’re men who keep showing up.
Keep praying.

From fisherman… to FISHER OF MEN. 🎣✝️

In the natural waters of Glorietta Bay in Coronado, San Diego, I publicly declared my faith in Jesus Christ and took another step of obedience in my walk with Him.

This wasn’t about religion. It was about full surrender. Obedience. A new life. Publicly declaring that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.

I’m incredibly grateful to Brother Jared Jared Saaib and Brother Anthony Anthony Padilla of the Strictly Irons Iron Brotherhood for standing beside me, praying over me, and having the honor of baptizing me. Thank you, brothers, for being part of something that will forever be written into my testimony.

To every friend and family member who showed up, prayed, supported me and witnessed this moment—thank you. Having the people I love standing on that shoreline meant more to me than I can put into words. From Brokenness to Redemption

The Man Behind the Smile

There was a time when I could make everyone believe I was okay.

I smiled for pictures, laughed with friends, and kept moving forward—but inside I was carrying pain, shame, anxiety, and depression that I didn’t know how to face.

I spent years hiding who I really was because I thought admitting I was struggling meant I was weak.

Now I know that healing begins the moment we stop pretending.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

Carrying What I Never Talked About

Not every battle leaves visible scars.

Mine lived in my thoughts, my loneliness, and the weight I carried every single day.

I convinced myself that if I just stayed busy, worked harder, or distracted myself long enough, the pain would disappear.

Instead, it only grew louder.

God wasn’t absent during those moments.

He was patiently waiting for me to stop running.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

Looking for Peace in All the Wrong Places

I searched everywhere for something that could fill the emptiness inside me.

Success.
Attention.
Relationships.
Approval.

None of it lasted.

What I was really searching for wasn’t another distraction.

It was God.

The world can temporarily satisfy your flesh, but only Christ can restore your soul.

“You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You.”

The Wilderness Was a Gift

God pulled me away before He sent me forward.

The quiet seasons weren’t punishment—they were preparation. In the wilderness He stripped away pride, addiction, unhealthy relationships, and the identity I had built without Him.

He taught me to be still, to pray, to forgive, to heal, and to become a man who follows Christ before chasing anything else.

Growth isn’t always loud.

Sometimes it happens in the silence.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

Lust Never Loved Me

I believed lust was freedom.

It wasn’t.

It promised comfort but left guilt.
It promised satisfaction but left emptiness.
It promised pleasure but stole peace.

Lust never loved me.

It only used me.

Jesus did
