From Private Club’s tied to real estate and Memberships offering Equity to Member Owned models and Private Clubs operated as corporate entities, there are pro’s and con’s for a developer to consider with each of the various iterations including planning to operate as a fully private club or a semi- private facility. We’ll discuss how a surf park’s business plan can use a membership model to unlock a higher return on investment. Some buzz phrases cycle around our surf park industry like "Dwell Time" or "Share of Wallet". It's simpley getting guests to spend more time at your venue, doing more and and spending more. There is a direct correlation to those that do more, spend more....which also leads to the hidden bonus of the guests then tending have a more memorable visit that leads guests enacting social media posting. The team from Surf Park Management is fresh off a great week at Surf Park Summit, brought to us by our friends from Over 300 industry leaders gathered and our nascent industry is truly at a tipping point with so many experienced developers and sophisticated investors now in the space. Skip and Cate led presentations to give insights on how the integration of a hotel operation needs to strategically align with the surf park operation. They also provided an in-depth exploration of the various private club models and how they can be a great strategy to launch a surf park.
