I’ve been chewing on this particular tenant of white supr*macy culture lately-
The Right to Comfort:
The right to comfort shows up as:
• the belief that those with power have a right to emotional and psychological comfort at all times
• scapegoating those who cause discomfort, for example, targeting and isolating those who name racism rather than addressing the actual racism that is being named
• feeling entitled to name what is and isn’t racism
• feeling entitled to dictate how racism should and shouldn’t be named
• demanding that those naming racism must be calm and logical while those protesting its naming can be angry and illogical
• white people (or those with dominant identities) equating individual acts of unfairness with systemic racism (or other forms of oppression).
This generation is so soft though it’s like no one can take a joke anymore yk? 👁️

Deep bow of gratitude to the folks who showed up and shared their magic in our container. What a wonderful journey it was to learn about ancient femme teachers while seeing how their wisdom applies to this very moment. May we remember the power and Divinity of Shakti, of the feminine aspect, of women, of the Goddess, of ourselves.
For Privthi Mata and all of Her children; moksha ki puja 🪔

While we don’t need an awareness holiday to honor Black history, Black History Month serves as an important opportunity to reflect, reconcile with the past, and commit to a more just future. It is more crucial now than ever to celebrate, amplify Black voices, and participate in the ongoing struggles for racial equity.

It is has been such a joy to share yoga at every Friday. As we continue to awaken as a collective and organize to keep each other safe, it is imperative that we take time to rest and recharge; this is why I share the medicine of decolonial yoga.
The Brown Building is a multi-use mutual aid community center:
If you would like to volunteer with our food distribution efforts, please sign up with
is a harm reduction org and fiscal sponsor; please consider donating to them in tandem to amplify your impact.
This class is always donation based, gentle, and QTIBIPOC centered. Come Fridays 6-7: sign up at link in bio. No one is turned away for lack of funds. I believe in the necessity of healing in organizing spaces to make the work more sustainable, and am ever grateful for the ways you each show up. 🙏🏽
Please do share all of this info with comrades and community. This work relies on us to keep it going. 🤲🏽

Practicing yoga at the park in collaboration with .sd was a dream come true 🌿
San Diego had a historical win last year as a city that has fought for the right to lead yoga classes outdoors after years of being legislated against. I am thankful for the change makers who have held their ground (literally) to ensure we get to be on the land in this way, and there have historically been folks missing from the scene: q***r, Trans, and BIpoc people.
Seeing a full QTIBIPOC yoga class outside felt profoundly meaningful as I return back to the city where I began my journey as a student of this medicine. ✨
Taking up space as q***r people of color reminded the land and the community that we exist, we belong here, and we deserve access to wellness and care. 🤲🏽
So much gratitude to .sd for uplifting and supporting the vision, to the folks who showed up, and to Kumeyaay land. 🙏🏽
Our existence is resistance and we remember that healing expands when we make room for all of us. 🌍
I wish we got a group pic at the end but it’s ok, we were too immersed in the moment! ❣️

Hello community,
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I come to you with an offering 🤲🏽
For too long we have seen the femme form scapegoated, the goddess exiled, the body asked to shrink, and the Spirit told to quiet down.
But it is time for change.
Freeing the Femme Form is a collaborative, trauma-informed container held with care and intention that centers q***r and Trans BIPOC femmes.
Together, we will explore somatic movement, spiritual lineage,
and collective witnessing as pathways to liberation and embodied truth. We will learn from the spiritual intersectional feminist teachings of: Kali Ma, Lal Ded, Saraswati, and Bahuchara Mata.
This space is intentionally small and held slowly and will cap at ten folks.
Facilitator info: Meesha is a q***r south asian femme who has been teaching yoga and holding circle for ten years. Informed by a sampradaya of Kashmiri Shaivisim and Punjabi Vedic scholars, Meesha offers yoga as a cultural reclamation practice, an indigenous medicine, and a space to implement diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging praxis.
If this work resonates, you are warmly invited to apply:
