I haven’t been updating this page with the new wild dude!
He’s been plugging along, definitely more reactive than the last few competition horses we’ve had… but thank goodness the mustang champions event has a much longer training timeframe than the previous EMM so I’m not worried at all.

I brought my rescue boy to work this week and he was so good! We got him weighed, checked over by the vets and UTD on all his vaccines. We also ran a f***l and it came back clear! Hooray!
Besides being thin, he was given the green light to start light work and once I build him up he’s good to start riding.
My plan is a month of foundation and groundwork and then start riding.
I’ve requested the name “Marty McFly” for him 💟

I’m super excited to try a new and fun challenge and help a horse!
Today I picked up a new little buddy for the Bluebonnet Horse Expo & Rescue Horse Training Challenge and I’ll have 4 months to train and condition him and then compete in an obstacle and freestyle event.
I don’t know anything about him but he was very friendly and loaded right up. It will be so fun discovering what he knows and doesn’t know and watching his total transformation.
He will be available for adoption in October through the rescue.
