Sauerfish Charters

Just returned from another fun one. Put together an awesome mixed bag of Bluefin and Yellowtail. Had some decent opportunity in the day time but darkness brought even more. Finished off our trip catching some island grade Yellowtail in great weather. All systems go and signs are still pointing to YES!

Wrapped up our annual maintenance went for a spin. Got in the zone at grey light put the trollers out and stopped the boat about 2 mins later. Slid into a school of very eager 20-25 lb bluefin Tuna. They gave us most of what we needed out of the first stop. We stopped a few more times for bonus round material and seal the deal for our trip. It was great to have every jig strike, chipper and bird school respond to Sardine. As always our magic combo was superior 30lb mono,Suffix Invisiline 30lb flouro paired with NEMISIS circle hook in size 1.

Pretty epic 1.5 day fishing! Stopped short of our intended area and had half a night of stop and go fishing in flat calm conditions. A hand full of fish were caught including some bigger grade fish. Right on Que at grey light trollers went off and we had smaller grade Bluefin chomping every bait in the corner. Finished off limits of Bluefin in short order. Made a short move into the east and added a few Yellowfin to our totals. Shortly thereafter found the mother load on dolphins. Anytime we would get remotely close to them all the trollers would go off and we would bend the boat on sardine. Fun stop and go action provided limits of Yellowfin tuna as well. Great weather and great fishing…. Smells like fall to me. Thank again Dave and crew for another good one!

A little stressed going into our last overnight trip as local stuff hasn’t really been real epic. All good tho, we found ourselves at Mossback meadow and got all the boys a trophy! We hunted around into the east for some Bluefin and found what we were looking for! It just didn’t bite that good. We were rewarded with 3 Bluefin for about a million boils on our chum. Sometimes that’s how it goes I guess… Thank you Gavin and the boys for coming out! CYA NEXT TIME!

Took Reuter and the boyz out for another 2 day spin after all that awesome weather we had for the last week. Their timing was on point. Tahitian seas filled with hungry Bluefin. Didn’t take much looking to stop the boat on some 30-50 lbers. They wanted to eat so we fed em all of our sardine. Limits for passengers and crew of perfect 30lb flyline fish. LEFT EM BITING!

Did a little overnight with the Golden Eagle boyz to the islands. Always a good time regardless of the conditions. Beers were drank and Yellowtail were caught. We had some full moon funky conditions but eventually they let their guard down and gave us some shots!

Returned from our 2.5 day this morning. Yellowtail was the name of the game and we had front row seats both days. Full speed rally’s at grey light on 30+ plus lb Yellowtail will make any Southern California angler second guess chasing around Bluefin until they bite. Anyhow we ended up with 40 of those bad boys and a couple bonus exotics. We got ourselves into a sample of smaller Bluefin as well before we made the long ride back to the dock. All in all another great trip for Marco Clarke and the gang! Thank you guys again, CYA next time!

Another nice 2.5 day go round for the Action EWP boys! We caught limits of Bluefin tuna and some more large Yellowtail. The Bluefin fell for a little bit of everything. Flylined baits, kites, knife jigs and spreader bars. Had to work pretty hard for bites throughout the day time but night two we downloaded on some meat! Size is still mixed. You could catch a 10 lber or a 200 lber at any given time. Darkness seems to bring the quality up a tick. Great trip with an awesome group of guys. Thank you all again! CYA NEXT TIME!

Our 2.5 day with the Nor-Cal fire boys was a success. Limits of Bluefin tuna and a nice sample of Yellowtail. Had to dodge a couple white caps for a half day but other than that it was a walk in the park. Thanks again boyz CYA next time!
