Which is better? 100% or 1%?

Most people think that when they start a fitness program, and a DIET (ACK how I HATE that word!!) that they need to go ALL IN! They have to stick with a crazy new schedule of daily workouts. That they have to give up all the foods they love and start living on bird food. No exceptions. That it’s ALL IN or nothing.

And how long does that last? A few weeks? So often people make a little slip up, start to feel SO BAD for themselves, binge and give up.

Think about this - progress is so much better than perfection. Progress - getting 1% better each and every day. That is maintainable & sustainable.

Cheating on exercises can actually benefit you!

For the most part, people think of cheating on exercises as something bad that can damage your joints, tendons, and ligaments.

However, cheating is actually a technique for increased intensity, which was popularized by no one else but Arnold Schwarzenegger!

In training, cheating can be used on certain exercises, AFTER you've reached failure using the proper exercise form.

Essentially, this will allow you to squeeze out another couple of reps, after failure, thus creating greater stimulus for growth and strength development.

Note however that cheating is not really suitable for all exercises.
Here are some, which you can use it with:

1. Barbell curls
2. Dumbbell curls
3. Dumbbell lateral raises
4. Overhead standing barbell press

By using this technique in the correct way, you will be able to create a more powerful stimulus.

Then again, consider that going beyond failure is strenuous, so you should avoid overdoing it!
