Front Runners & Walkers San Diego
Front Runners & Walkers San Diego is a running and walking club whose members are primarily LGBTQ+ a We meet in San Diego and in North County.
In San Diego, we meet at the southeast corner of 6th Avenue and Laurel Street in Balboa Park on Saturdays at 8 am, for running and walking, with several routes available from 2½ to 6 miles (4 to 10 km). There are informal Sunday scheduled runs (6-10 miles) that help individuals prepare for races.
* Please be aware that we follow COVID 19 protocols in place that including mask requirements for non vaccinated attendees and recommend physical distancing *

So proud to have August 18, 2026 officially proclaimed “Front Runners and Walkers Day” by the City of San Diego! 🏳️🌈🏃🏽♂️🚶♀️
Of course, we celebrated the best way we know how—with a run and walk! ❤️
It was especially fitting that our club was founded in 1981 and 81 people joined us to celebrate. And our membership game winner, Debbie Stretches, has been part of the family since 1984! Talk about history! 🥰
A huge thank you to our friends and partners at In Motion Events, Milestone Running Shop, Gene Lee Skin Clinic and Roxanne Govari | Pemberley Realty for coming out to support us once again.
And most importantly, thank you to all of our members, past and present, who have helped build Front Runners and Walkers San Diego into the incredible community—and family—it is today.

Tuesday August 18 has officially been proclaimed “Front Runners and Walkers Day” in the City of San Diego!! Come celebrate this distinction at our August 18 Tuesday Meetup at 6pm in Balboa Park, near 6th and Laurel! It would be an honor for you to celebrate with us! Go FRWSD!

Normally we prepare for a big half marathon with Pasta Palooza, this time for In Motion Events AFC Half we had a Pasta Poolaza! Good luck to all running the Half and 5k! If you aren’t running, come to our Q***r Cheer Zone at Elm and 6th around 7:15m!
