We’re excited to offer both Kids Summer Camp and Teens Summer Camp this year — a great opportunity for young people to stay active, build confidence, and experience the energy of the dojo.

Participants will enjoy a dynamic mix of:
• Aikido fundamentals
• Movement and mobility training
• Partner drills and teamwork
• Awareness and confidence-building exercises
• Games and creative movement challenges

Our camps are designed to be engaging, supportive, and fun, while helping kids and teens develop coordination, focus, and resilience.

As we reflect on the past year at Aikido of San Diego, we feel deep gratitude for the people who make this community what it is. 💙 Beyond techniques and training, we’ve witnessed courage, kindness, growth, and quiet resilience—on and off the mat. 🌱

We also recognize that this season is not joyful for everyone. For many, it can bring grief, uncertainty, or a sense of isolation. 💛 If that’s where you are, please know this: you don’t have to carry it alone. One of the deepest values we practice through Aikido is connection—learning how to stay present with ourselves and with others, even when things are difficult. 🤝

Our hope for the year ahead is that our community continues to grow not just in numbers or skill, but in our capacity to support one another in genuine, human ways—beyond Aikido, beyond the dojo walls. 🌿 May we keep choosing empathy, listening, and care.

As we pause for Thanksgiving, we find ourselves reflecting on what truly sustains and inspires us: our community.

A dojo is so much more than a place to train. It’s the shared effort of people who show up for one another — on and off the mat. It’s the quiet support, the warm greetings, the laughter between classes, the care we take in keeping our space clean and welcoming, and the spirit of generosity that makes everyone feel they belong.
