The boat returned Sunday afternoon from another half-day trip with 44 Sand Bass, 15 sculpin, 1 Calico Bass, 1 Halibut, and 2 Starfish(released) for 17 Passengers.

The Point Loma is scheduled to run half day trips daily, 830am-230pm.

This Wednesday 2/11 we have a Local 3/4 Day Private Charter that has a few spots the group is looking to fill. We will be targeting primarily Bass and Sculpin while keeping a close eye out for game fish. The trip runs from 9am-7pm and the cost is $165 for the 10 hour trip. Yesterday we fished, the Coronado Islands and came back to the dock with 50 yellowtail,1 bluefin tuna, a couple handful of bass and miscellaneous bottom fish for our 18 passengers.

A 25–30 lb fly-line set up and 40 pound surface iron or yo-yo rig with fresh line is all you need right now. #2-2/0 hooks are recommended.

Yesterdays trip fishing the Coronado Islands saw good opportunities at plenty of yellowtail. Our trips are filling up fast so if you miss an opportunity to fish with us, keep checking the schedule for additional open party trips.

A 25-30 lbs flyline set-up with #2-2/0 hooks is the go-to rig for most anglers. Having a 40 lb Surface Iron and Yo-Yo setup will payoff as well.

Calico and Sand Bass are biting!! From full speed fishing where you barely put your reel in gear and are bit to steady picking. There has been very fun Bassin going on lately. Get out there and go fishing!

Todays trip had just a couple bass shy of limits for our 20 passengers! 73 Calico Bass, 23 Sand Bass, 2 Sheephead, and a nice Halibut.
