Congrats to Source Endurance athlete Dylan Zakrajsek, coached by Matt Hill, on a beautiful race at the Cyclocross National Championships, taking 2nd place in the U23 race last weekend! 🥈🚴 In Dylan's words:

"2023 Cyclocross Nationals is a wrap! Absolutely thrilling race with Jack Spranger! A race of minimal mistakes and efficiency.

I knew going into the race that there were several people who could take the title, which is what made it so exciting! Both Jack and I had sections that we were better than each other at and made gaps each lap. One after another. Coming down to the last lap, I honestly didn’t know what the plan was other than to take risks and push the course to the limit. I knew I had to make a move, but until the barriers there wasn’t much of an opening that I saw.

Whether it was a mistake on my part or good defending on Jack’s, I got caught up on a stake and had to chase. Somehow, I pulled the gap back from the corner after the barriers to the final corner. Whoever punched first won onto the pavement.

Congrats Jack Spranger! One hell of a battle, man! I’ll be back, but for now, a 🥈 will do."

For those unfamiliar, the Kerstperiod is a significant block of racing primarily held in Belgium and the Netherlands around Christmas time. It's the highlight of many cyclocross racers and offers incredible opportunities for notable results. Riders and fans from all over the world gather for this block of racing!
