Dedication. Accountability. Dicipline.....D.A.D.? Haha as im wrapping up my weight cut I reflect on the past 6month's and more so this past year I've spent competing as a powerlifter. As much as I love the sport I've certainly learned that doing this is hard on the body and mind, but that's where you'll find out if you are truly passionate about being apart of this sport and in all reality it's taught me a lot of life as well.
This will be my third competition it will be on a fairly large stage and I will be competing against some of the strongest gentlemen in the country, I've set countless goals since I started competing and I have managed to surpass every goal without hesitation. That being said time to do it one more time!

Oh and for my weight cut I started gradually from about 240lbs cleaning up my eating about 4 months ago getting down to 225 slowly and finishing up the last 5 in this week.

Its never bad to want more for yourself, but appreciate everything at hand. Over the past few months I've been ridiculously lucky the support of family and friends, getting taken care of by my sponsors being apart of a motivated team, being coached by a premier powerlifter, mentored by a handful of amazing individuals and last but not least I've gained a great hardworking batch of clients both strength athlete's and men and women NPC hopefuls. Nothing more motivating to see yourself and your business grow in your own hands.

Dont mind my sweet sock tan line or the extra coat of hairy-ness but im finally starting to remember what actual ankle and foot mobility feels like. If you already know well then you know how amazing it feels, but if you're on your feet a ton try this out. 5mins total for both feet rolling the ball all along your foot mainly from the heel and along the arch of your foot. Feels great and restores proper function to your lower leg.

Anyone can compete, but do you have what it takes to do better? Moving into the second to last week of his training cycle and needless to say I think is feeling it!!!! Confidence is without a doubt one of the most valuable assets any athlete can have something that im still learning as well, but once you attain it you can push yourself farther then you can imagine.

Getting to work with other health and wellness professionals such as Dr. Jay Libs (chiropractor) is always a huge deal for me, not only do I get to pass on my knowledge to them they get to pass on their knowledge to me. Forever learning!!!!

I hereby decree today posterior chain development day!!!! Transitioning from football to powerlifting should be easy pickins, pause deadlifts and manual glute ham raise were only part of today's menu, gonna be training up hard even with this heat wave!

Well here is my first 1month update to my side project im doing with my good friend Nick Deck. For those of you who don't know about my side project Nick is 100% Vegan/Ovolacto-Vegan he's lost near 50lbs through clean eating which has changed his entire body composition, so now we've decided to team up and change his body composition again this time adding muscle. We will be doing this with little to none supplementation and no regimented meal planning. Good clean food and lots of heavy weights.
