Monday Member Spotlight is none other than our CoreBody owner, SHILPI!!! It is an end of an era for our beautiful owner and friend. November 29th, 2022 will be the last day of CoreBody Pilates Plus. Shilpi opened her studio in 2013 and for the past 8 years she has successfully created a family within the Lagree studio and even survived the pandemic. So without further ado let’s read about her life one last time. We wish you well Shilpi and hope to see your beautiful face around!

*Favorite Lagree move - Bear, full body move that never gets easy

*Least favorite Lagree move- bungee kicks! I have a love hate relationship with it :) (Don’t we all?!?!?!!!)

*My favorite song right now is WITCH ( Woman In Total Control of Herself) by a new and upcoming artist Devon Cole

*Fav dessert? - Ras Malai
( An Indian dessert made of cottage cheese balls soaked in sweetened flavored milk)
Out of the world delicious 😋

*What has been the best part of owning CoreBody?- getting to know our clients, hearing stories on how CoreBody studio has positively impacted them in their day to day lives and all the love and kind words that came my way! 💞

*Most memorable moment of CoreBody?- There are many great moments but one that comes to mind often is when we used to do 6 week challenges! It was such an inspiring, as well as proud, moment to see the mindblowing transformations of our clients both physically and mentally!
Some of them could accomplish in 6 weeks what they haven’t been able to in months / years .. that was truly special 💝💗

Monday Member Spotlight is KELSEY!!! This beautiful client was so gracious to accept our invitation to be spotlighted even though she prefers to go unnoticed. However if you read below, BOTH of her bucket lists require being in the spotlight! Hmm, maybe she isn't quite as shy as she portrays. Anyhow, we are thrilled you enjoy your Lagree workouts enough to show up! Half the battle is showing up and we promise to keep it fun for you!! Monday Member Spotlight is NICOLE!!! We LOVE that your sister introduced you to Lagree, we LOVE it even more that you are part of our family and we especially LOVE that YOU LOVE most all of the moves like us! Agreed, cables are awesome especially for legs. Nicole, we look forward to hearing your say something in Aramaic next time we see you in class!

*How long have you been a member at CoreBody? I took a few classes with my sister years ago but I didn’t officially become a member until I moved here last year.

*What is something people don’t know about you?
I come from a huge family with 32 first cousins on my dad’s side alone 😅 oh and I’m fluent in Aramaic

*What is your favorite song right now?
Don’t have a favorite; love all kinds of music.

What is your favorite dessert? Parisian Chocolate Cake from in Las Vegas hands down!

*What do you love about CoreBody?
The instructors!! Not only do they make it a super friendly environment but without them I don’t think I would be able to push myself to those shaking moments where my muscles start to cramp haha.

“Friday feels…” GRATEFUL for our bodies, GRATEFUL for our clients, GRATEFUL for our studio!!! Our beautiful client Chrissy who has been a ray of sunshine in our studio, graciously gifted us with not one but now two plants (“this one is hearty” she said meaning you shouldn’t be able to kill this one 🫣😬) Thank you , we will do our best to keep it alive! 🤞

Chrissy has been coming to CoreBody since June and in that time she shared with us a very exciting update about her health journey. She has notified improvements in her everyday activities. A great example is: climbing stairs at her home. What was once tiring has become manageable and less tiring! You guys, this is HUGE!!! If you see this beauty please give her a high 5, cheer her on. We all need validation & encouragement and we know you members are great at supporting one another.

Chrissy, keep up the good work. Your body, mind and spirit thank you!!

We will be closed Thursday, November 24 for Thanksgiving. We too will be stuffing our faces with turkey/ham, green beans, pumpkin pie and stuffing!

Now that Halloween is behind us, THROW OUT THE CANDY…because the holidays are COMING and you are gonna want to fit into your dress/suit. The time is now to lock it down. Let’s get serious before all the parties, carbs and yummy treats!

“Friday feels…” overwhelmed, exhausted, hangry, annoyed, drained, (fill in your ______) Sure we may be feeling all or some of those all things BUT we can also CHOOSE to be happy. Ask yourself are you choosing negative feelings? Can you find something to be happy about in the moment even if it’s little? Can you laugh about being hangry in the moment or when the FedEx driver delivers your package to the wrong address and it’s a mystery and goose chase trying to locate it (true story)😜😂

Choose happy friends! Smile, it’s contagious. Make someone’s day a little brighter by smiling at them. Like the children’s book “Have you filled a bucket today?” Go out and fill someone’s invisible bucket with kindness, love, appreciation, and happiness!!! ❤️ your CoreBody team

Monday Member Spotlight is HAHN!!!! Small and mighty as we know her at CoreBody. Hahn is bubbly and brings the energy to our classes. You can often find her laughing through a challenging move or dead serious in her favorite move, skater. Not even sure she takes a break hence her name small and mighty!!

*Favorite Lagree move: skater

*Least favorite Lagree move: kneeling inner thigh (ouch!)
& anything that has to do with my upper body

*How long have you been a member at CoreBody? I was a member a few years back, took a hiatus and started up again for 2 months

*What is something people don’t know about you? Loves to travel & try new food

*What is your favorite song right now? Hmm, I have a lot of songs and genres I like to listen to depending on my mood. But as of right now, I’m listening to Sam Smith, on repeat.

*What is your favorite dessert? Once in a while I’ll indulge in a snickers blizzard at DQ or a nice chocolate glazed donut

*What do you love about CoreBody?
The machines may look and can be intimidating but the instructors and the members are very kind and helpful

“Friday feels…” like you are always comparing yourself to others? Not doing everything perfectly? Not going above or beyond? Not excelling compared to the person whom you admire? Stop. Just stop. Ask yourself this: Are you doing what you can?

Monday Member Spotlight is JACKLYN!!!! Often times some of us (not saying that’s you Jacklyn) start class on the tired side or a little bit slow to warm up but by the end we come alive. To see this transformation is so rewarding to us instructors and our beautiful member Jacklyn as you see (👇🏼below in her comments) she FEELS and KNOWS it too!! “Friday feels…” Have you ever wanted something so bad after you’ve been told you couldn’t have it? For example, when recovering from an injury, surgery, or a cold and told to rest…no exercise…not even mild!
It just might make you want it that much more! Take a moment to allow your body to REST. Focus on the healing before trying to push yourself. Binge watch a show, watch all 3 Godfather movies, read a book, take an online course, take lots of naps, but whatever you do, try to truly embrace the quiet and healing process. Your body will be back to normal if you allow it to heal properly before jumping back in too quickly. ♥️ your CoreBody team
