I'm having trouble figuring out if a 5 year old can race velodrome. Are there classes for the little kids? My kid is a 5 Intermediate in BMX and we are interested in cross-training in velodrome racing. Where do we start? Is this track open?

Hi folks, SANDAG is looking for evaluators for the Active Transportation grant program. It is a big time commitment and an unpaid gig, BUT it can be very rewarding and you get the scoop on future bike projects in our region. If you become my friend, maybe I can take you out for a beer and talk bikes. DM me your email address if you'd like to volunteer. Many thanks!

Unfortunately I missed the last swapmeet... but does anyone have some "affordable" track pursuit bars they aren't using any more? Want to dip my toe in some pursuit training. Thanks!
Hi all! I'm moving out of the country and have a beautiful 54cm fuji track bike for sale in excellent condition. If you're interested please send me a PM.

Congratulations to Alexa Alarcon and Eire Chen for their impressive showing at the Tour de Murrieta.
Alexa won the 2-day Omnium, having placed 2nd on the crit, 7th on the circuit race, and by having scored many other points with multiple wins in intermediate sprints.
Eire won the crit, finished 3rd on the circuit race and placed an impressive 4th overall in the Omnium. Congratulations ladies!

Check out this race finish!

[06/04/21]   Sean is looking for a scorekeeper to help at TNR from 6ish to 9ish each week. It's paying gig. Must commit to most Tuesday nights from now until the end of September. The scorekeeper helps score all the races and tabulates results. Some knowledge about bike racing is helpful, but not necessary. Organizational skills, being reliable, and being capable of middle school math are the most important. That and being able to get along with stinky bike racers for 3 hours once a week. 😂 Message Sean Sean M Burke if you are interested or know someone who is.
