I’m So happy for Phil, Tim and Andrew Getson and to be a small part of their most recent win in Phil’s first attempt on the Champions Tour this week. It’s always cool to get a shout out by a student on TV. I couldn’t have been a part of this team if I hadn’t learned from my mentor Carl Welty who passed away a couple years ago. I miss him everyday. He was the first person that told me that the roll of the ball was an absolute fundamental in putting. Jeff Johnson... thank you for pushing me in the direction of becoming a PGA Golf Professional and teaching this great game. Just trying to make you proud. for letting me teach at the . Most Recently and have given me such wonderful guidance in the technology I use now. I’m so blessed to have such a great support system as no one ever does anything by themselves.

Congrats to on winning the California State Amateur Championship. As good of a player he is he’s a great person too. Couldn’t be happier for him.

Ensley is getting closer. Her best tournament score ever. 78-75. Dad was being nice and calculated that she only left 16 shots out there on the course. When she gets this scoring thing figured out she may be dangerous.

I got to work with arguably one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met on the PGA Tour yesterday .homa The guy is super talented. To be able to show him a few things that will hopefully help his putting was probably more fun for me than it was for him. In this video he was shocked that the read for this particular putt could be this high. Very cool to see how fast he was able to adjust.

Sunday at the 2019 Masters #11 after a perfect cut driver to the center of the fairway this happens. Being by the green to hear the roar after that putt dropped is something I’ll never forget.

Understanding one of the Fundamentals of Putting.

Working on one of the most important fundamentals in golf. Centeredness of contact. A simple drill that my mentor Carl Welty started doing in the late 60’s to early 70’s with X-ray film on the face. The tape I’m using is painters tape and it’s probably already in your garage.
