San Diego can use more dedicated bike lanes to make riding safer, more efficient, and take more cars off the streets to reduce noise, pollution and traffic!

The Pershing Bikeway will make it easier to GO by BIKE through Balboa Park and between North Park and Downtown San Diego. It also will improve safety for all roadway users, including people who bike, walk, and drive. Stop by our open house and public hearing on Wednesday, December 7 between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. at the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park to learn more about the project. What Happens When Bicyclists Obey The Law? 05/31/2016

"In 1982, the State of Idaho enacted a law permitting cyclists to treat stop signs as yield signs, and red lights as stop signs. The Idaho Stop Law allows cyclists to get in front of traffic and become more visible, thereby improving their safety. There has been debate over whether the law negatively impacts safety, but statistics show no increase in cyclist injuries or fatalities in places with this law." http://www.bicycling.com/rides/traffic-laws/what-happens-when-bicyclists-obey-law?cid=soc_BICYCLING%20magazine%20-%20bicyclingmag_FBPAGE_Bicycling__
