Our tots class at Liberty Station Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is always a blast with Coach Dan, Coach Alex, and soon Coach Vykki joining the fun! Bring your little ones for an exciting start in BJJ. Our Tiny Turtles program is for ages 3-5 years old! Join us starting next week for our new schedule: Monday, Wed, and Friday 4-4:30 PM, Thursday 2-2:30 PM, and Saturday 10-10:30 AM. Hey Liberty Station BJJ family! 👊 We’re beyond excited to welcome Coach Dan to the Liberty Station BJJ family as another one of our amazing kids’ class coaches, bringing his passion and expertise to our young grapplers! 🥋 Catch him teaching on Fridays at 4 PM and soon Thursdays at 2 PM as well!
 
Coach Dan kicked off his martial arts journey in 2014 with Muay Thai, but fell in love with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2016. Now a brown belt under Professor Michael Cusi, Dan’s competed in over a dozen tournaments and has been coaching kids at North Park Jiu Jitsu since 2019. His student-centered teaching style mixes fun, creativity, and strong fundamentals, helping every kid grow at their own pace. 🌟
 
Jiu jitsu is also a family affair—Dan’s wife, Paige, also trains and shares his passion for the art. The two often teach classes together, creating a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere that reflects their shared commitment to the community. Outside the gym, they enjoy spending time at home with their dogs, cooking and baking, lifting weights, practicing yoga, and traveling together.

Hey Liberty Station BJJ Family! 🥋 We finally tore down that built-in shelf in the corner, and wow, it looks amazing! You might be thinking, “I don’t see a huge difference.” But to us, that corner tells the story of the last few months. Let us explain. We were stuck in a storm of chaos and when that storm cleared, it was liberating—though, don’t get us wrong, these past few months have still been challenging, nerve-wracking, and an emotional ride. Scary doesn’t even begin to cover it.
 
But we dove headfirst into the hard work, determined to rebuild from the ground up because we had a vision for a brighter future. There are still a few hurdles to clear, but the light at the end of the tunnel is shining bright.
 
That built-in shelf? It was a beast to take down! The holes that it left behind were patched, new wood was installed, and finished it with a fresh coat of paint. Now, you’d never know a shelf was there—it looks so much better! To us, that corner is a symbol of breaking free and starting fresh.
 
A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE—to the new faces, amazing instructors, and to those who’ve stuck with us—your support and belief in us mean the world. You’re the heart of this gym! 🙌 We’ve been quietly grinding behind the scenes on some exciting new opportunities and adding a few more minor changes to the space, and we can’t wait to share them with you soon.
