🌟 Why did you start dancing?
“I started dancing toward the end of September at Melómano. I was inspired to take classes after attending a Latin dance festival in Montreal. I found Melómano on Facebook and never expected to fall in love with dancing or for it to become such a big part of my life. I’ve always loved dancing and even performed in cultural shows while attending UC Santa Barbara.”

“I love Melómano because of the community here. The people inspire me to keep dancing, motivate me, encourage me, and are just incredible humans that I’ve grown to care so much about.”

Today we’re shining the spotlight on the wonderful Marissa Lopez!💃✨

Marissa brings so much heart and energy to our Melómano fam every single day, but there’s so much more to her than just her killer moves. Check out these 5 things you might not know about her:

💦 She’s a total water pro: she did swimming and water polo for 10 years growing up!
🦥 Her favorite animal is a sloth because she loves how chill they are.
🎤 While she loves all music, R&B and Rap are her go-tos (shoutout to Kendrick Lamar!)
🇮🇹 She spent time studying abroad in Italy during college: ask her about it!
📚 She’s currently working hard on her Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis!
