Last month, members of our team, Rhonda Jones and Mike Swan traveled east to the Chesapeake Bay area (Virginia) to attend and display many of our surface and diving equipment options at a Regional Search and Rescue Training Symposium. Local law enforcement, fire departments and defense department agencies were in attendance for a week long ‘hands on’ training. They shared their product knowledge of how our local teams outfit themselves and gained valuable insight on the needs for much colder water rescue operations.
To learn more about properly outfitting your agency, or to share your experiences with our Government Sales team, please call OE at (858) 565-9474 and ask for Mike Swan (Ext. 126) or Kerstin Muilenburg (Ext. 125).

OE GovSales representative Mike Swan recently visited OTS to get an overview of their immense operation. Check out what Mike had to say about the visit:
"Thirty-two years ago Ocean Technology Systems (OTS) pioneered underwater communications and today they are the industry leader in through-water and hard wired communications. OE has represented their products for decades. They have become the most widely used, not only for our military, but by sport, entertainment and to OE’s government sales team, all public safety agencies across the country.
In 2008 OTS introduced their Guardian Full Face mask and today our west coast public safety teams from Silver Strand State Beach to Channel Islands National Park and far inland and all incorporate the Guardian and its through-water digital communication gear.
Their just released, new addition to their surface hard wired systems is Floating Comm Rope. The diver’s comm wires are traditionally surrounded by rope as a strength member. For years, divers working in shallow depths and moderate current were forced to drag the deployed rope as they expanded their search and recovery areas. Not only does the floating cable and rope employ the same tensile strength, it indicates to the surface tender the relative position of his diver. This is an incredible advantage as many public safety divers are immersed in ZERO visibility waters."
